I had to know for myself. So here are the top books listed out by result. Slice of 10% for Clink's share, or is it more now? Either way, some solid results there!
  4. Yup. That's getting my vote. Post one new thread a day. Or add to one thread a day. The beauty of this is that you then can break your sales items down into as many threads as you think appropriate, given their nature, but you can't pimp more than one at a time. (thumbs u unless somebody bumps the various threads then we still end up with one person owning the front page That really can't be avoided. However, it would soon become apparent if certain individuals were using their beeyatches to do their dirty work. Anyone got Dad&Sons number
  5. Doc's origin was short, but so poinantly drawn. I don't think another story has ever conveyed a similar feeling, or atmosphere. Ditko certainly knew what he was alright! Great book!
  6. Sweet book, and an iconic cover through and through (thumbs u
  7. MM, I would love to know more about the title if your offering??
  8. A really beautiful copy, all the Boston's on this run are in premium condition throughout.
  9. How do Gold file copies fit into the picture...no threads give them any loving, do they go here..
  10. Kewl. Love to see 'em posted when you get 'em, Jim. Got to agree, I think we're coming a very close second to you, enjoying seeing the WM's come in (thumbs u
  11. A white paged beauty That is one sharp 9.4! Thats a keeper alright Beach (thumbs u It's actually a 9.6!! A buddy of mine across the pond has one or two as well... well I was right...slightly blind, but right ...oh, and only 1 copy now Bill, I did see there's a new 9.8 on the #93 as well, that would be interesting to see...ok, just checked Doug's run, he didn't resub the PC copy, so it's an additional copy, non ped
  12. A white paged beauty That is one sharp 9.4! Thats a keeper alright Beach (thumbs u
  13. It'll be interesting see how the #90 goes, but I presume it'll be all down to the movie...do they kill him off, or save that for another instalment Well we're waiting, lets see them scan's! (thumbs u
  14. Beach, well you certainly picked a good CGC set to collect. As you can get quite a few issues for reasonable money, and then chasing the big books is the challenging/fun bit ...ok, don't quote me here But seriously it is a solid run to build, and it seems you've already got most of the prized later-run issues. Gene Colan and the gang we're really hitting their stride with the cover's and interior's around then. Oh, it looks like #90 with the first Abomination will be joining the big book list, with the character definitely now set for the next Hulk movie (thumbs u
  15. Beach...very nice book by the way! For historical significance it has to be #59, first and formost. After that I'd say; #60 Hulk on-going begins, #70 Sub-mariner joins the title. #77 Hulk identity revealed for the first time. #93 First Silver Surfer cross-over outside FF. #90 First Abomination #101 Last issue #82 Iron man cross-over Mind you this list doesn't necessarily bear out current market prices for the books. As #82, and #93 have taken some huge price escalations lately. #70 suffer's from far too few HG copies being around. And #77 with only 4 copies in NM or better, which is pretty much unheard of for any title from that part of the SA, the prices don't reflect the siginificance, as the market doesn't ever get to see them essentially. Some semi significant books get no recognition, like #69, the last Ant-man book, leader first apperance, High Evolutionary appearance, #92 Surfer cameo (and one of my personal favourites), etc, etc Other's, do please chime in for opinions here, this is purely my take on things.
  16. Jim, that had totally slipped my mind. Wow, so you didn't get any of them I know you were pretty determined, but you would of been up against some deep pocketted FF collector's, of which I'm presuming there are a few. Plus those particular WM issue's are trophies of trophies, no doubt about it. Well I hope your ok about them, big money is big money, and collecting isn't about financially ruining ourselves, so it certainly sounds like you tried your best. What were the final results on those books?? p.s. your wife sounds very cool by the way!
  17. TTA just got better and better as the run went along... congrats! :golfclap: A top copy to have!!
  18. Jim, I was kinda wondering that after I made the post. Anything in 9.0 and above would get you a world of hurt with your other half for sure. 7.0 say's she won't dissect you for spending too much cash on the funny books. Still an amassing complete run of WM TTA's will be a very nice thing, regardless of the mixed bag of grades (thumbs u
  19. I figured that was you who picked up the 77 off clink when I saw the 9.2 for sale!! Congrats on your complete 9.4+ run Smart move Kovac, seriously impressive pickup!! (thumbs u
  20. Very true, TTA is still seen as a second tier title, while it was innovative and forwarding reaching right from it's earliest days. Ant-man is the the only character to ever breach the 'pre-hero', 'super hero age'gap. And then the title had two heavy weight hitter's through the early days of the SA, right through the '68 relaunch. What's not to appreciate, with all the great artist's and writer's right there And only various issues of the pre-hero TTA's get any attention, and the same for Strange Tales, and Tales of Suspense. But I can't see that changing significantly any time soon, no matter how many gems are tucked away in those runs.
  21. The WHOLE run of course!! Korvac, your back on the scene...and looking in the latest acquisitions thread you haven't been idle! Some stunning additions
