  1. 13th Annual March Madness CGC Grading Tournament This will be the 13th Annual Tournament which is becoming a great international tradition. This year’s tournament will feature a wide range of books varying in grades and eras from the early 1940’s to modern. Please post in this thread if you are interested in playing; everyone is welcome. The format is the same as the National College Basketball Tournament. This is how it will work in a nutshell: There will be a seeding round where books will be posted for grading, and a won loss record will be determined based on how successful each player is at grading the books. After determining each player’s won loss record, players will be paired in brackets in a single elimination tournament. Pairings will be based on a convoluted, totally irrational combination of geographic location and won loss record (Just like the real thing!). Because CGC turnaround times, expect the contest to start March 1st.. A prize list will be developed during the tournament. Donations are welcome! There were some great and generous donations last year! The top teams will pick from the list at the conclusion of the tournament. 2. There's always the option to resubmit the book and ask for a blue label. May work out for you depending on the reason for the green label.
  3. It's CGCs policy that no book with Light Tan to Off White pages can be graded above an 8.5. It's is a harsh policy but I get it. I did resub it a couple of years after the initial submission and got the same result. Of course.
  4. Why are the random other issues thrown in? The Incredible Hulk #1-6 and Others Bound Volume (Marvel, 1962-64). A fantastic volume featuring the first six issues of the original, short-lived Incredible Hulk series, plus Millie the Model #120, Kid Colt Outlaw #116, Two-Gun Kid #69, Rawhide Kid #38 and 40, and Patsy and Hedy #94. The presence of Mean Green's origin and first appearance alone make this a must-have. The books were trimmed prior to binding; otherwise, all are in very nice condition with moderate tanning/browning to the edges of some, primarily on the cover interiors.
  5. According to what text? The "$0" should be lined up with the horizontal black line, I guess, which represents $0.
  6. Every graph I've looked at has looked similar. This is for ASM #129 CGC 7.0 if you want to look it up. So this book averaged negative $100 between 07/2002 and 05/2006? And what does the "13" below the "$0" indicate? Help me understand this.
  7. Oakland, you should trade a major key for some sweet rims for that bad boy.
