  1. Well, okey dokey then. We know how you would run the business now. I'm ready to move on, hopefully you are too.
  2. My rule of thumb as a collector thus far, if a cards value is over $100 I want subgrades. Under that, it's not an issue for me.
  3. Had to google NSU Update. Will be checking that one out, looks interesting.
  4. Thank you for the welcome. Most of the forums I have belonged to have slowly died out, and I miss the conversations that happens on them. There is FB, but it isn't really the same.
  5. Give us a chance, we're going through some growing pains. I see some good potential here.
  6. It's a relatively new forum, and a TAT pandemic to deal with, which is why most of us showed up in the first place. Too many threads are repetitive, I agree. In a few months I hope it settles down some, I'd like to be talking cards more as well.
  7. Nah, I don't want to ignore you or anyone else who has something to say, in writing anyways, lol.
  8. Lol, used to be called post padding on other forums I've been on. I'm here for the actual conversation though, and find an overabundance of gifs pretty distracting when reading through the posts. So to keep it less interrupted I used my superpowers and wrote a few lines of code and simply got rid of the gifs from my screen. To each his own.
  9. CGC is going to have to respond in this in some way. Spent 5 minutes on FB and people are already talking about getting orders sent to CGC asap.
  10. While very rare, there is an mythical rule which invokes the Mewception factor. This only happens when a cards absolute cuteness charms the grader into overlooking a more common rule.
  11. I'd bet everyone sending in their first submission wonders the same thing. It is a poorly written instruction. If you need to send in 2 copies of your packing list it should specifically say that. My first packing slip was 2 pages, so I assumed it meant to send in both pages.
  12. It's only growing pains. Six months from now, when we all have our beloved cards back safely in our possession, and the grading wheels are movin' along more smoothly, we will be planning midnight raids on the comic forums and spamming their forums with ROTF emoji's. Life will be fun again!
  13. Nice! I have the English promo in for grading, it being another of my faves. It's funny, the more I go through my collection, the more the Japanese version cards seem to be growing on me. My Japanese card collection for the most part was stored loose with no sleeves in a box for years, and I have been surprised to see that they have held up as well as they have. Higher quality cards overall I think. I don't know which version Mew card I would consider more difficult to find in good condition, from what I've seen NM to mint on eBay seems to be highly subjective. Best of luck in your bidding endeavors!
  14. I like to read about cards too. But we're in the middle of a TAT pandemic, and folks are looking for answers. In the world of forums there is a great superpower, it is the ability to scroll past what doesn't interest you. Or better yet, start a topic that does interest you, and see what happens.
  15. The website is currently showing a 30 day turnaround for CGC and a 25 day turnaround estimate for CSG standard grading submissions. The estimated turnaround time starts at the date the cards are entered as received, not the delivered to the warehouse date. If your cards were received on 3/24 you shouldn't expect your cards until early May or so.
