  1. Are you guys ready to barf out of jealousy? I paid $700 for this bunch plus some others. My heart skipped a beat seeing one IH 181, but two? Plus 180?!? Holy smokes! Oh, and they both have the MVS in case there were doubts.
  2. Depending on the staining, that might clean and press to a whole level higher, and would at least display much more handsomely.
  3. Hey gang, I wanted to share my listing on eBay, a gorgeous copy of X-amen 101. I figure that with Clairemont doing a signing at CGC, this is a good time to put this online. https://www.ebay.com/itm/134013863862?mkevt=1&mkcid=16&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0 Feel free to ask any questions, thanks!
  4. Hi gang, I’m listing a really high grade worthy GI Joe 1 (and 2, if you look at my other posts) on eBay. https://www.ebay.com/itm/GI-Joe-A-Real-American-Hero-Issue-1-1982-Marvel-Comic-Baxter-Paper-High-Grade-/133996945293?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&_trksid=p2349624.m2548.l6249&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0 It was purchased from the original owner, who worked a gas station and purchased overstock after expiration. It appears to be unread I also have a Daredevil 158 up amongst others. Thanks!
  5. Hey gang, I’m listing some comics on eBay, the best currently is a seemingly unread raw copy of Star Wars 42 and this nice Avengers 14. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Avengers-14-1965-Marvel-Comics-Nice-Dark-Colors-Clean-Iron-Man-/133998540261?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&_trksid=p2349624.m2548.l6249&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0 I am listing a little slowly, but thought I’d share here. Thanks!

  7. I picked these up yesterday. They’re all newsstand editions, the previous owner worked at a gas station and would buy the back stock for pennies after they expired. I am super pleased to have found that SW 42, and I’ve always wanted to flip through Amazing Adventures 11. Pretty neat to find the Tomb of Dracula too. Flipping through giant stacks of unsorted comics is pretty much the dream you’d expect it to be. You never know what is going to be under that next issue…. I picked up about sixty books or so, these were some of the highlights.
  8. I pulled these from a clearance dollar box, seems like a worthy endeavor. I’m not going to lie, in thirty plus years of comic collecting, I have never come across this title. Any fans?
  9. Perhaps I provided poor photos initially, I’m learning things still. So I looked closely at the top of the cover, and the two spots were just small fold overs. Black light not necessary, but I did run it up the spine and didn’t see any suspicious spots.
  10. Just picked these up this afternoon. I know the last pic is pushing the silver age limit a tad, but what the heck?
  11. Great eye, good call. I think I’ll still give it the going over with BL to see what’s what and how extensive. Bummer. I think I paid fourteen bucks for it, so I guess that’s fine.
  12. , I loaned my black light to my folks. I’ll update when I check that. Good call.
  13. Are those dots on the rear cover raised at all? The front doesn’t have as many, but it seems like they may be removable “boogers”. Getting those removed would improve the appearance a lot.
  14. This looks like I’m the fourth owner by my calculations - someone wrote 2.50 on the reverse in pencil. Such thankfulness to whoever made that decision instead of using a pen. I’ll eventually clean it but it presents nice as is. I appreciate your insight. Thanks!
  15. I cleaned it up a bit, gave it a smushing. Mr Rockwell’s area cleaned up decently.
  16. I picked these up recently. Some of the oldest books I’ve found in the wild in recent memory. I love the cover of issue 73, that checks a lot of boxes for me. Decent shape for being in a basement for the past several decades, and a bonus - the pages don’t smell funky at all!
  17. A recent purchase, but you guys would strangle me to know how inexpensive this one was. This is from the original owner, never bagged or really more than boxed up. I haven’t cleaned it up at this point. If possible, I’d love to hear what bump a clean and press might provide. Please lemme know what you think. Thanks! I don’t know if this is allowed, but throw in a guess as to what I paid to spice things up. I’ll update a little later on what it really ran. Keep in mind the seller bought it for twelve cents!
  18. I recently picked this up amongst others of similar vintage for a song due to the top corner A tragedy, agreed, but I’d love to hear impressions. Any guess to what bump a clean and press may provide? Thanks!
  19. I’m still thinking the Umbrella Academy books are good long term holders. I have a number of those and Darth Vader 3 as my main long term investment books for moderns.
  20. Picked these guys up for a buck a piece, amongst others.
  21. If it seems to be that low, it really doesn’t need to be slabbed. In that condition it’s still worth flipping through it would seem. Everyone scrambles for the high grades, so slabbing what is essentially a reader doesn’t make sense.
