  1. Just inked out a deal on this baby, not the prettiest copy, but complete and unrestored! Been a while since I posted a new book, had to hold off after the Cap 1, the jones was real bad....so I pulled the trigger on this baby. (thumbs u
  2. Might be some of the freshest GA pages I have ever seen. I need a Chicago or two! Awsome book Stagedoor J!
  3. We have gone to long with out a picture in the Timely thread. Which I might add is the thread of Gods and Kings! A couple little boxed group shots! mmmmmmmm.......Timely Goodness, its like fresh Chocolate cookies!
  4. I don't mean to be hurtfull, but sometimes its just too easy! I am sorry Sometimes a little one of these just pops up
  5. ...watch it Evans ....you're coming onto MY turf this weekend, and I know what you look like But can you find me? I'm pretty stealthy. And I won't be wearing an "I'm MrBedrock" t-shirt. Just look for the tall geeky guy with a large a..a..a adams apple and a t-shirt that says "I break for Hookers and road kill"
  6. If I had to choose one it would be.... either the Action #1 in 5.5 or the Batman #1 in 9.0. I like them both. I don't have either one. I can't afford either one. If I could afford one, then I could probably afford both. I'll take both! I couldn't afford either, but If I could just afford just one and both were equally priced(that wouldn't happen) I would go for the investment potential as I would most likely have to sell it soon, because I couldn't afford it, and of course if I could then both would be in the playing field....So I would take Action 1! Hands down, but reason would suggest if I could afford one, I could do both...so like Richie I would take both, assuming I could afford even one. You can't do this to me Paul....just like Rich, you MUST choose! But Steve, I did choose. I said in no less terms....if I couldn't afford even one, I would take the Action, but If I could afford even one, I would take both. Since I can't afford either, I would take the Action 1, but then If I go that far into debt, I might as well go all of the way to Bankruptcy, so I guess I did do it to you....I will take both!

  9. Hoo Yaaw! Mater Chief, Sweet book! I love those Frazetta FF's! You got a nice one, for sure! Paul
  10. I thought you were also the only George Michael lover on the boards....guess I was wrong again. No, you are correct, Rick is the only George Michael lover on the boards! You can take Faith in that.
  11. OK Tec27kid.......try this one! Both sold for $54,000 last year --- choose! All Star #1 or Superman #2, ...I'll take both! you can't play this way.....you must choose! :makepoint: :makepoint:...and it's not silly! :makepoint: :makepoint:...this is one of the most popular threads in the GA section for almost 1 full year :makepoint: Steve I choose both YOU RICHARD EVANS ---MUST CHOOSE! "I CHOOSE LIFE! WHAM!" -Geroge Michael
  12. I remember the first time he posted those, my jaw dropped to the floor! Amazing enough, it just happened again! BZ, those books of yours are really quite stunning. Your collection is about as diverse and extensive as one can get. If you ever want help rebagging I will bring the Mylars, full back and white gloves.
  13. What do you think a Blue label Action #1 8.5 would go for, tied with top of Census! Would appriciate everyone's thoughts. P
  14. Not Positive, but I think John Vyrzel....really not positive might be getting my facts messed up. Maybe he has the Allen town, I know he has the Allentown Cap 1 9.6. I guess I really don't know. I hope that helped! Paul Allentown Action #1? You are definitely getting your facts mixed up Wouldn't suprise me in the slightest. My memory is stunted!
  15. I liked it as well, not as much as the Spiderman movie's but it was good.
  16. That is an awsome book, the second nicest condition wise I have ever seen. Someday I'll have to get me one! On another note, I was wondering if I could trouble you once again for a photo of your MC #1....That is if you have and want to share. If anything I am persistant. I would settle for a All Select #1 as well, as I am sure if you have one its a stunning copy as most of your books are. Paul

  18. Man, this is a tuff one for me. I absolutely love Spiderman, always have. Next to Cap, he is hands down my favorite. Speaking from an investment place if that AMF is indeed the best copy, and I am guessing there are more than one laying around in that condition. I guess, 150K, 200K, or even 500K is just to much for a book that is not rare. Ahhh, but the Action...very rare, less than 100 known copies, you never see a full row of them in any grade( Metro's wall of AmF at Chicago)...Long term I think one or two more 9.6/9.8 amf's will surface.....So after thinking it through.... Action 1 all FUdging day long!!!!!
  19. nope, had no idea he had a copy? rick He had a mini auction and a bunch of books never received bids, think the opening bid on this was $1,250. A few days later he extended the auction for 3-4 more days and then this book sold for around $1,900 (I think). Would have been a nice deal at $1,250 even with the grease pen marking. [/img] All say, schnikey!
  20. Was the minor resto noted on the Blue Label? If so, how on God's green earth could the respondent be confused, does he lack basic reading skills was he complacent in researching his 150K purchase and at that point just look at the color of label and numerical grade on slab? Was the slight resto mentioned on advertisment? Or was this a private sale? Just curious. Paul
  21. Pretty much! Hard book! Both of us were insufficiently_thoughtful_persons for not just telling him to ship and they we sort out the details later! Fugnubit! well, after 3 days ,I did say ship it... but I guess you meant the "first" chance... c'est la vie... I will find another if that one does not shake free rick Yeah, I mean when they said "yup will sell it for $1050 shipped", I should have said send it and the check is on the way! I just hope he sells me his 36-39 and 46, then I would be in very happy land!
  22. Do you think the 7.5 should be worth the most? Why yes I do! Then I could buy the other copy for cheaper....oh wait, I still couldn't afford it without Mortgaging my house! But if I did have the dough, I would take the Mile High copy with ultra slight conservation over the 7.5 for same and more money. I would go for the universally known best copy. That is if I could afford and was in the market for a MF 52!
