Hmm you are easy to forgetOkay, so I recently had my first real sales thread (selling some Anthony Castrillo sketch covers to pay for some Anthony Castrillo refunds), and with my first real sales thread seems to have come my first real non-payer!VEI Reborn snagged this fella via PM on 6/24. I've replied to him a bunch of times, with a confirmation that it's his, a couple nudges about paying, etc., and all messages have gone unread. While a member of the boards since '08, he hasn't actually posted anything since late '09.
So, it'll be 30 days on Tuesday. I've sent him a new PM telling him that he's about to go on the PL. Did I forget anything?
It's my understanding after I made VEI aware of this request the issue is now resolved. Can you please confirm?
He got in touch with me this afternoon, paid right up, and all's well. Thanks m'man!
He'd forgotten all about me...

+1And don't worry, no one's laughing at your for using paypal personal. But yeah, it's not a great idea when buying from folk you don't know.
I agree. No One is laughing at you about PP Personal.
You sure?
which you sent via paypal personal?Like I said: "No One" is laughing at you.
I am continually amazed at the level of bitter hatred that exists on these boards.
It is pure poison, but it most damages the one who engages in it.
Carry on.
Hatred?
PS: laughing at someone who may have lost $1200+ is immature, totally classless and rather vile.

I got these back yesterday
That's a Cookeville Pedigree copy. I don't think it's recognized by CGC, but neat nonetheless.

I was wrong after hearing other people say that they don't have any in there office either, but i don't understand why not. I just ordered 9 cases for my office no problem. Sorry Don. I will day that at times the Flat rate box is cheaper than weight.wow, didn't see the harsh insult until now...glad to see it didn't escalate further so big kudos to stay classy Don. -
Better than a 1 trick pony and clearly a bitter loser

Yes, the books have to be packed very tightly and protected well on all sides. The seller should not be able to say that defects occurred in shipping.
I ship with two Priority Mail boxes, and lots of bubble wrap and peanuts. The books don't move around inside when I pack them. I cringe at the way the PO handles parcels, that's why I pack things so well.
Watch those flat rate boxes and "envelopes", they cost much more than normal Priority Mail boxes etc. Be sure that you can get those before heading to the PO, many offices only carry the flat rate stuff now.
you are such a lying tool! First off, Flat rate boxes would be cheaper if you are mailing slabs real far, mailing slabs from Michigan to California is cheaper than by weight. Second, the post office HAS to carry both sets of boxes not just flat rate. Don't lie to make yourself look good. Why do you have to insult the P.O? Yes I work for the P.O and they have treated me great and I treat everyones parcels as I would want mine to be treated I do care about my job and my customers, yes there are bad apples in the P.O just like another job.
Boy you are mighty hostile... to another USPS employee.
I've been a Rural Carrier since 1991, I think I know well what my PO here carries out front.
I have been to five PO's around here, I live close to one, drive by one going to work, and the main office in town I go to regularly to ship things.
I have had many opportunities to look in the lobbies for Priority boxes, and have asked about the #1095/1092/1097/1093's which I need. They all tell me that they only carry what they have, and cannot get others. That is their story, and I believe it.
In my office where I work, the management decides what to carry, they order what they want to. There are no magic rules about what all offices have to do, that's a myth if you think that.
Sorry Don
Clearly you and the bunch of other people that said the same thing you did are all lying tools out to besmirch the good name of the PO as part of your master plan of god knows what!
I'd say mine usually doesn't have them either but that would just make me a lying tool!
No you are just a FDQ

Its simple complain to the 800 number, it works magic. 1092 and 1093 are supposed to be supplied, plain and simple.
-
We have them all the time, I am the one that orders them for us. I would complain about everyone of those P.O that does not carry the 1092's. Thats BS that they say they can't order them. They are lying.
-
They should, it policy to carry the 1092 not the 1095, complain to the 1 800 number.Am I insulting the PO if I say that mine doesn't carry the 1092 or 1095 priority boxes as well? -

I informed him that if he wanted to hold me to it I would pay for it. He said that it was ok and I didnt have to.
-
I should of done that, but I was at work also I really don't have the extra cash right now but If I have to do it I will.I feel that when someone makes an offer and it's accepted, a deal has been made. 9 hours is a short time period.Usually there's something about "put up the in the thread to seal the deal" ... and conversely if someone else has put up the in the thread in the meantime, your deal is null. So it doesn't seem like a done deal to me. Nonetheless, I've never backed out of one, and doubt I ever would.
Now that I think about it, if you're going to bail on an offer before getting a response, you should at least send a further PM stating as much, so the seller doesn't set the comic aside or otherwise inconvenience him/herself.
