Raniy day in Philly, and I had the day off, so I thought I would take an updated shot of my More Fun Comics run to date. Still have a ways to go though. The goal is 52 - 81

Wonderful books everyone! I've always liked the early Actions,especially the issues that seem to be the toughest to acquire like 2,7,10,12 and 13.

I am not currently building a run,but I do have this one in the vault.

A couple more lovely books were waiting for me on my return from Europe

 

Oddly, they were entombed in some sort of plastic cases. I've since liberated them.

Wonderful batch of books Bill! I was just looking through an issue of Whiz this weekend.There's some very cool stuff lurking in the pages of those early Fawcetts.

trying to keep up with my vow to upgrade 1 [at least] timely a month.

I'm stunned every time I see this book,it's just sooo pretty.I did just notice that CGC forgot to list the pedigree on the label though.

I mean c'mon, it must be a pedigree right??

 

 

These two books (the MM66 & DM7) were purchased from ebay auctions in December, for ...let's just say... much less than I would've expected.

I sold a couple of these a while ago. The Christmas economy caused them to find their way back home, with a new friend!

Amazing trio of superb Starman covers! I think it's about time that Overstreet broke out issue 62 from the rest of the pack.

One step closer to putting the run back together

 

It has already been cracked out and read, but my scanner is packed for the move so I couldn't scan it raw for you. It is such a lovely fresh looking book out of the slab. The resto appears to be Susan's work and a fine example of how to restore a book without making it look too restored at all.

 

I love books like that as well.Congrats again Pons.

Not a comic, and not yet in hand, but the deal has been struck! I usually wait until it is in my hot little hands, but I am so excited about getting this grail piece that I just had to share it.

Thanks to one of my favorite geeks for working out a fine deal on this page from All Star Comics #14. It features my favorite character from the More Fun Comics series (Dr. Fate) battling the Germans in WWII. Fate is in every panel to boot
