Picked this up at our annual Micro-con today.Soooooo happy to over pay(according to Overstreet ) for this elusive funny book.

turns out my seller needs a new scanner; the color is washed out. was i happy when the book shown in the second scan came in, when i was expecting the book in the first scan? yes, i was.

 

 

gotta love strong cover colors.

Wow!!! I love the early sci-fi exciting covers. Tough books to find

 

Here's his little buddy, two issues later. The colors are unbelievable.

 

I know people really start digging this run once the Black Terror appears, and I don't blame them, but the mini-run before #6 (when the inking on the covers gets too heavy) really floats my boat.

 

Stunning! Anyone who can't understand the multiples paid for Church books should take a look at this one.And remember it's just a scan,imagine it in hand

 

Zolnerowich did few recreations...but the guy could draw. I put him in a class with Lou Fine and Murphy Anderson.....jb

Wow that's an amazing recreation Jon! I like how he added a few things, like the front of the rocket ship.

that last one put me over 1/3 toward the 1-22 old logo run, so here is the fledgling planet collection, in order.

That's a fantastic stack Billy! Can't go wrong with rivets in the logo.

Bill: I agree with the rest that is a gorgeous #7 and I love that cover. I've always felt that the covers for #5,#7 and #13 are like a little mini set, and would look breathtaking beside each other as a subset.
