  1. My favorite Challengers of the Unknown cover...
  2. That rickety bridge reminds me of an old Bugs Bunny cartoon... Those wash-tone Western are spectacular! Even better, I dare say, then the war stuff! Bill
  3. A trio of late 50's fantasy classics.. WORLD OF FANTASY has always been the runt of the litter, appreciaton-wise, in the pre-hero run...and thats a shame! The Ditko/Heck stories showcased in these issues are just about the best work that these 2 guys have ever done... Nice purple Bob Brown cover. Also a great Cardy story as well. A real winner!
  4. Kirby robot cover... Again the interior Heck and Ditko stories are the gems here..
  5. Thanks Tom... Here are a few nice under-rated prehero WORLD OF FANTASYs. Ditko and Heck are at their fantasy best...
  6. Here is a new aquisition. I actually picked this up on fee-bay for under $20 !!! Wonderful purple "Brown" cover/story. Also a nice Cardy story.
  7. Here is my TTA #2.. Hmm. I wonder what it would look like slabbed??? This issue has 2 thing that I really love in a comic - a Ditko cover and a "Journey to the Center of the Earth" type story..nothing better! BIll
  8. Tsk, tsk...Pre-hero books should not be encapsulated...they should be allowed to roam free and breath the fresh air. Shhh. Here comes one now...
  9. Looks like a nice book. I wonder how much it will go for?
  10. In the meantime, here is one of my favorite covers that I just got around to scanning! This would have made a wonderful movie poster, dontcha think?
  11. Thanks, twords the end of the pre-hero era, there were a couple of very nice Kirby full-page splashes...I will look for more! Bill
  12. Suggesting that the guy in the foreground with his back to the viewer is Ronnie himself! The hairdo looks right. Jack Ya know, I think you might be right!
  13. By George, I think you are right. That gal on the TOTU #17 looks just like the former Mrs Reagan.
  14. Here are a few more warm-ups for The Thing. This is a great cover, with a really dynamic splash page. A Two-Headed Thing! Oh, this is one of the lesser White Mountian copies (damn you Marvel Chipping!). Another orange monster...
  15. Another black cover...what imagination!
  16. Wonderful black cover..another nice "girl under class" motif.
  17. Here are some more TOTU from that era..
  18. I think Thor is not that popular these days (I could be wrong...) and therefore the early Thor JIMs reflect that. If a Thor movie was announced...that may spike up some interest...Of course, you can throw that away if an uber-high grade issue come to surface on, say ComicLink or Hemorrhage., I mean Heritage. Bill
  19. A rare SA DC end of the world cover/story.
  20. Another great wash-tone cover. There is no better combination on a sci-fi cover than a pretty lady and a monster!
