  1. Heroic #4 text story splash & panel of art. Unmistakable who did the art, but he DID "sign" it
  2. The night is black .... without a moon ....
  3. My copy of Subby #33 that I have had forever! I scanned it in the mylar a long time ago, so not the best pic of it, but it's what I have handy.
  4. I get what you're saying Point Five, but I think you may have missed the acronym Bill Everett Support Thread However, I'm not married to it, so if it still bothers you, I think I can change the word in the subject line.
  5. Um ..... yeah ..... so ..... do you take Visa or Master Card??? I am BEYOND floored by that photo!!! YOU Sir have some excellent taste in funny books!!!
  6. I'm glad!!! I'm very happy that other collectors have seen the goodness that is William Blake Everett!!! For my money, he could have a thread like this in Silver & Bronze Age too!!!
  7. LOVE this cover! I need to find myself a copy ....
  8. A pair of lower grade early Heroics .... a 4 and a 6. Perfect for thumbing up

  13. One of the pioneers of Golden Age comic book creators, Bill Everett is one of my favorites! Post your Everett covers & interior pages here. My apologies if an Everett thread already exists, but I couldn't find it if it does, thus a new one begins
  14. Captain Marvel kept the kids from feeling ..... safe A recent pick up & one of only a few from this publisher in my boxes.
  15. Thanks so much Bat34!!! Keepers for sure!!!
  16. Thank you very much RHG! I've always loved this book & this particular copy in fact, as it belonged to a longtime collector friend Jerome Wenker. For probably 25 years, I would visit him, bringing books to share, sometimes we'd buy books from each other and this exact copy of Tec 9 was always near the front of his Detective box. I've thumbed it up many times & it is very solid with nice pages. You can see at the top & bottom of the spine that it was slightly trimmed (probably 35 + years ago) and there is that colored tape on the spine. I can't show the label, but it feels all the 3.0 it was graded. It'll likely be out of that holder before this weekend is done. Btw, your copy is amazing!!!
  17. Well thanks very much!!! It's always nice to get props from a fellow collector
  18. Indeed it does, which was huge in my decision to grab it! I don't think I've ever seen another copy of 32 with that pq designation before. The 32 will stay in it's holder for now, but I might crack the 9 out at Russ' this weekend
  19. Thanks!!! It's been quite a few years since I've owned this issue. Finally found the right copy
  20. Oh and this came in today too! No Batman, but pretty cool
