I don't know how he can call his collection complete without the Black Dwarf (who wore green [font:Arial Black]and wasn't really a dwarf)...[/font] (Keep 'em comin' ... ) or black ....
  6. Thanks, I feel the same way!! A lot of these books don't get much mainstream acknowledgement, but this is really where it all started AND there's some VERY cool stuff here

  8. Sure thing Gino (thumbs u I always look forward to your posts
  9. congrats. It's a tougher 1943 book. Most don't want to cut it loose. This was probably the original owner of that book. Norman W. Hilton, Jr. as stamped on the comic. Two years ago he passed away. http://obits.dignitymemorial.com/dignity-memorial/obituary.aspx?n=NORMAN-HILTON&lc=0305&pid=164664968&mid=5521885 WOW ...... ya gotta wait for a fella to check out before a copy becomes available .....
  10. My daughter & I saw it last night & we both enjoyed it very much!!! Lots of laughs mixed in with the super-hero goodness
  11. Love the Benson and the T. Holt books!! Neat stuff!! This aint too shabby either Frisco!! Thanks Gino I'll tell ya, it was a shame to slab it. It's SUCH a tight, glossy book!!! I think the right bottom front cover corner which has a slight round to it, is what kept the grade out of the 9's. I DID enjoy it raw for 4 or 5 years, but might sell it, so I think it'd sell better slabbed.
  12. one red...one oran........ah who are we kidding no one is looking at the Banners here Nice book to double down on!! I actually have another copy too!!! I buy them when I can find them at reasonable prices
  13. If say that'll work!! Thanks Gino 'ol buddy!!! These are some of my favorites!!!
  14. Oh man .... I would love a copy of that!!!!
  15. Got this back from CGC a few months ago & just now got a photo of it!!! Sorry for the weird cropping ....
  16. I'd never noticed this cover before. NOW it's on my want list (thumbs u Brother, I know the feeling. Wantlistitis (def. The malady of want lists growing much faster than budgets.) The boards have shown me SO many books that I hadn't seen before I'll likely never find all of the books that I'd like to have, but that's what makes collecting fun: The thrill of the search!!! I'm pretty sure if I could buy every single book I wanted, every time I saw it for sale, I'd become pretty bored after a while Now you understand the life of The Gator You could add a few others to that list Billbo
