  1. Picked these babies up recently through an online auction. I know capt hook is looking for a nice copy of HOM #174, but that copy is heading in for pressing and grading soon. The HOM #180 and #205 were sold in my most recent sales thread.
  2. STOP! PLEASE STOP!! You're killing us with these beautiful books!
  3. Kinda looks like it doesn't it? That was one of the first things I noticed.
  4. I debated about doing it for quite a while, but I finally decided to submit my AF #15 to Sean McLoughlin at NYComics to have it signed by Stan Lee. I thought it would raise the value of the book more than the total cost of signing and reslabbing plus it would just look a hell of a lot better with the mostly yellow label. So I cracked it out of its original slab, sent it in to Sean and it just came back today. What originally was this: Just came back as this: I always felt that it was too harshly graded the first time around so I was hoping for a slight grade bump after the signing. But I was very happy with it going all the way up to a 6.5! And it changed from an EP (Extensive Professional) to an MP (Moderate Professional) to boot!
  5. I love that cover too. It also looks great in a slab.
  6. WOW. I guess this guy wasn't satifsfied with just starting one bad deal. He had to do 3 or 4 or more all at one time.
  7. I have one of those on the way too. (thumbs u I think I've almost run out of options for picking up new books with Dave Stevens covers (either front or back). I still need these: 1) Iger Comics Kingdom 2) Back Issues 3) Comic Journal #117 4) Dark Horse Insider #23 5) Madman Comics #4 (back cover) 6) Rocketeer Adventure Magazine #3 7) The Shadow and Doc Savage #2 8) Amazing Heroes #37 9) 3-D Zone #16 Except for a couple of other books that should pretty much cover it. (thumbs u I was able to cross off 3 more books from the Dave Stevens want list (see above) and the Shadow and Doc Savage #2 is on the way. I'll post a new group shot shortly.
  8. I just received a nice raw ASM #124 in today's mail from Cristian. Accurately graded and well packaged. Thanks!
  9. Just received a nice Dr. Strange #1 CGC 8.0 from Harley. Nice doing business with you! Great buy!
  10. I'll have another big sale starting tonight which will feature an original Ghost Rider #1 CGC 9.0 from 1950 with WHITE pages. There will also be a lot of raw DC books including some Weird Western Tales (Jonah Hex), Weird Mystery Tales, House of Mystery, House of Secrets, Witching Hour, Ghost Castle, Secrets of Haunted House, Phantom Stranger and others.
  11. There's been a bunch of these on E-bay lately. Yeah...I'm watching one of them now. I've also attempted to buy that Amazing Heroes #37 from milehighcomics twice but both times they said they were out of stock. Makes you wonder why they even advertise it if they don't have it! Lone Star has AH #37 for $2.60. They also have Madman Comics #4 for $1.10 and Rocketeer Adventure Magazine #3 for $6.00. Thanks. (thumbs u I've been watching the Rocketeer Adventure Magazine #3 on eBay. The AH #37 is just a VF but I might go ahead and buy it anyway just to have a copy until I can obtain a NM copy. Maybe I'll just get all three!
  12. I let my son buy this with his Christmas/B-day money and he is OBSESSED with it! It's a minor miracle he hasnt crushed one of our dogs or his sisters head in with it! The freaking thing weighs like 10 lbs and would DEFINITELY do some damage I literally cant even take him to our LCS anymore because all he does is whine for this $125 Green Goblin pumpkin bomb statue and a $400 Thor helmet they have Maybe he'll be starring as Thor in the 4th or 5th Thor movie in about 15 years.

  15. +1! Other than #1, probably my favorite CM cover! I was hoping to get a 9.6-9.8 but that dang #4 is practically extinct according to the census. This 9.4 had GREAT eye appeal in hand. I know its a deal breaker for some but i'm not a miswrap snob especially for a small straight one like that so i am VERY happy with this copy! I gotta thank Steve(rube11) for pointing me in this books direction so i could add it to my CM run In the spirit Captain Marvel here is a recent pickup signed by Jim Starlin & Dave Cockrum. I wonder how CGC will grade this...blue label? Or will I get stuck with Green? A wise man (ribbit) once said "It Ain't Easy Bein' Green" I'm not 100% certain, but I believe because the sigs are on the 1st page and not the cover, you will get a blue label. (thumbs u
  16. Just received 3 nice Spider-Man slabs from Rhonda. Well packed and quickly shipped. A+++ all the way!
  17. No new posts in here for quite a while. Anybody come up with any good buys lately from garage sales, flea markets, antique malls or the like?
