  1. Since you like the X-Men so much I'd keep that one. Avengers seem to be pretty hot right now and those other 2 contain some character that will never last anyway so you might as well sell those 3.
  2. Starting today, I will be having an "endless" sales thread in the Mixed Age Threads section. There will be Marvels, DC's, Atlas, Charltons, Dells, Gold Keys, Harveys, Image, Whitmans....you name it, it will be in there eventually. There will be both raw and slabs but mostly raw stuff. Anything from low grade to high grade. Considering that I just lost my day job and will be having carpal tunnel surgery twice in the next 2 months, I'll have plenty of time to list stuff on a daily basis.
  3. Daniel, Thanks to you for the quick payment and great communication. (thumbs u
  4. Kudos to 2 boardies for my recent VCC purchases: 143ksk for a nice Captain Atom #80. Need only 1 more for the full run. greggy for a sweet War Is Hell #11. Both comics were accurately graded and well-packaged. Thank you gentlemen!
  5. Won these from a local auction house in the past couple of weeks:
  6. If there's a door leading to this backroom, maybe you should consider adding a dead-bolt lock as well. That way you can keep it open when you're at home but locked when the daughters have guests over.
  7. Kudos to r1982rhoads for the purchase and quick payment of a Golden Age slab. Thanks David!
  8. Man,what a sad time for the boards. Indeed. I know I haven't been here long but the last few weeks things have really got out of control. Seems like it's just like the H1N1 flu bug going around. Whatever it is, it seems to be infecting a number of normally honest sellers to the point where they're trying some very underhanded selling tactics just to make a buck here and there.
  9. Kudos to HouseofComics.com for quick payment on a nice package of comics and working a Hawkman for Gorgo/Konga trade. Thanks Marc!
  10. By the way, do you know if an officer showed up to the house and spoke with the parents? That is definitely what was needed most to drive a point home on top of the funds being returned. I was just wondering the same thing. Don't let him off easy!
  11. I think I'm gonna agree with the 6.0 grade considering the CBC's at the URC and LRC.
  12. Shhhwwweeettt!! Looks like a 9.0/9.2 from the front....maybe better. (thumbs u
  13. Man, that is one VERY nice collection you came across. How long ago did you buy these? He/she was obviously a big DC collector.
  14. If the rest of the books are in the same kind of condition as these then yeah, I'd give it strong consideration.
  15. Major kudos to the best seller on the CGC boards...... bghkoyama! I just received another shipment of 4 slabs from Brian with a nice freebie slab thrown in as well. Excellent packing job as always. (thumbs u I've decided that Brian is one of two things....the next Santa Claus or just plain . He sells you slabs at way lower than GPA, has you pay only 1/2 of what it costs to ship the comics then throws freebies in to boot! But I don't care what he is! As long as he continues to give great bargains I will continue to buy! Thanks once again Brian for such great deals and outstanding service!
  16. Kudos back at ya Evan for a nice, smooth deal. (thumbs u
  17. Nice haul Joey! Let me know when you get ready to sell them.
  18. Update - one shelving unit is in place. Stereo on top with comic price guides, TPB's and Treasury Editions down below. One drawer unit is in place with backing boards & sleeves and miscellaneous packing materials in it. The 5-drawer legal size file cabinets are assembled in the middle of the room with the foamboard dividers now in place. It will be nice once I get these filled with comics.
  19. With my company closing in a couple of months, we had a silent auction at work yesterday. I was able to pick up 19 pieces (Four 10-drawer file cabinets, Five 5-drawer file cabinets, Six 4-drawer file cabinets, 2 shelving units and 2 drawer units) for $118.00. Add the cost of a U-Haul cargo van and I spent only $200 for the entire lot. I've taken before pictures of the comic room and I'm in the process of cleaning and spray painting most of the file cabinets. Once I'm done with the remake of the room I'll post the before and after pictures. (thumbs u
