Sure...in here or in a PM?

My neighbor came over today with a small box of misc. comics. Most were just cheap stuff but there were 2 foreign comics in there. Both were released by King Comics in 1974 - a Beto el Recruta (Beetle Bailey) #L-1 and a Popeye el Marino (Popeye the Sailor) #L-2. The first half of each comic is in Spanish with the 2nd half being the same story in English. Send me a PM if you have any interest in buying either or both books.

How long before you got the comics? Still waiting for my copies. Right at about a month.

I just received my 4 copies (all 4 covers) of Mythopolis #1 from Ardden Entertainment on Friday. Slight damage during shipment (not Ardden's fault) but thought I'd share this little tidbit with my fellow boardies. An e-mail response from Richard Emms at Ardden earlier today: "Hi Mike! Sort of good news... but so sorry they were damaged in the post. We have completely sold out of Mythopolis #1 as Midtown took all of our remaining stock at the show. There's also some news coming up about the series...so hold on to those first prints! Rich" I just ordered 8 more copies of #1 from the Midtown website. So you might want to get those orders in ASAP.

Another great benefit of a book being in a CGC case. I've had this book in a bag and board for so long, I forgot the alternate cover art is on the back cover. - Variant Cover: Chris Warner artwork. - Regular Cover: Dave Dorman artwork. Nick, So the blue cover is the variant? I actually have more of those than I do the regular cover.

Thanks for the kind words. I'm actually waiting on some further news. After I swallowed the highly radioactive radiodine pill last Wednesday, I thought the scan yesterday was just going to be the neck area to ensure that the pill killed off any remaining thyroid gland tissue left over from last yer's surgeries. But they did another full body scan again. So even though the full body scan from 2 weeks ago showed no further cancer, the scan from yesterday may show something going on in other parts of my body (haven't heard back yet). Even if that is the case, I was told the radioiodine pill I swallowed will also attack any other problem areas they might have found. Hopefully, I'll know more later today (Friday).

Haha you must live in Vancouver. I went up for a concert and didn't know the area and my buddy got us a hotel on Hastings St. I'm surprised I'm still alive.... I'm guessing you went to the Rickshaw theatre? It's unfortunate because a lot of the best Metal shows happen there, but it's in an awful part of town. I once knew a guy who became a police officer and got assigned that "beat". He promptly quit after finding a severed head sitting in the gutter, all casual, like it was a discarded pop bottle. Greggy, greggy, greggy.....how many times have I told you DON'T leave the evidence laying around like that?

You really don't want that low-life JIM #9 CGC 9.4 in your collection so you better sell or trade it to me.

Look up Hastings Entertainment on your search engine. It's a chain of stores mainly concentrated in the Southwest and West areas in the USA. They sell a variety of stuff but seem to mainly concentrate on new and used books, comic books, movies and music.

For the month it lasted, the DC 3D covers were a great gold mine. I walked into a Hastings book store today and they still have a few DC 3D cover books on the shelf for cover price. Just proves your point on how quickly they died.... All books are always cover price at Hastings. They did die, but a book just being cover at Hastings has nothing to do with it. Hastings just doesn't know/care about their comic book section. That's the reason I ended up with 20 copies of Sixth Gun at the height of it's value. +1 on the Sixth Gun selection at Hastings. I'd bet there are still copies of #1 at some locations that missed the bubble completely. My brother and I easily moved through 20 copies as well. And I just found out about the Hastings store chain about a month ago through a Facebook page. They don't have any stores in Illinois (where I moved here from). And my point was that there are still DC 3D cover books on their new release rack.

Very nice Is this one harder to find than the other X-Men Gold Pressman variants? I've found 5 or 6 copies of the X-Men #303 Gold Variant in the wild but have never found a copy of this particular book.
