Selling my low grade BB28 raw.  $1100, shipping included.  Probably the cheapest complete copy out there, but I'm open to offers.  No trades...I have a piece of original art in mind that I want, and this will be my justification for spending the money!

    I estimate this is a 1.0 - 1.5

Cover still has quite a bit of gloss.  Book doesn't appear to attached at staples, but is still hanging on to the book.

Will only accept PayPal as payment.  I will ship USPS priority w/ signature required, fully insured.

No offers from probation list or in the HoS.

    1st :takeit:has priority over PM's.

Yup! I'm not sure I've seen a low grade copy with a front cover that presented this well for this low of a price! [And I haven't been in the market for this book for probably 5-10 years!]

    Hi Guys and Gals,

Anyway thought I would start with a special one to wet your appetite.

Free shipping from UK.  Would prefer wire payment ( Its not difficult. Others buyers have done it. Saves major fees.)

I will accept PayPal if really necessary.

Batman #1  Coverless with conservation.               $18000

Virtually all damage is to spine, otherwise complete with Off White pages

Was this copy originally sold (raw) via Heritage about 5-10 years ago? This reminds me of a copy that I was the underbidder for (SOOOoooo many regrets on that auction).

Got my secret santa gift from the post office yesterday from @Mac Man These were absolutely perfect! I absolutely love the statue, reminds me of "Peanuts" (Snoopy) for some reason.  The wife and I grew up on Buffy the Vampire slayer and when I showed her the book she was like "that's crazy! somebody actually kept up with all that?" :roflmao:

Y'know...… it's been a slow year.  I have NOT brewed anything since January :(

Slow for brewing I should add..... I've been working on LOTS of home improvement type projects..... but not any brewing .

I have a full kit in the fridge too, just waiting to be used

I've been down to about one batch per year. Got a dunkel on deck but I've been wanting to do a coffee porter using Death Wish coffee for a really caffeinated punch!-)

A board member did a great piece on him.. @Mac Man if I remember right?

    Edit-Mac Man,if you see this,I found a link to your write up,but it's broken.Shame,as I really ennoyed it,how I learned what I know about Pop.

    On comiccollecting.org I think?

I do remember pursuing and learning about Pop Hollinger - @skypinkblu hooked me up with my very first copy! But I'm drawing a blank at the moment as to whether or not I wrote something up on him. Most of my publications have come through Newsarama and Marvel. Mind shooting me the link?

  6. I used to play Vampire the Masquerate and Werewof the Apocalypse when I was younger -- loved the games rich "fluff" -- and even years later, I still really enjoy the background. Since then, the Apocalypse/Gehenna took place and they ended the lines rebooting them anew with Requiem and The Foresaken. I'm just curious about others' response to this new landscape they've created. I've read some stuff, but it just doesn't quite hold the same depth of intrigue for me. [Willing to admit the nostalgia factor could be at play here] Are there specific supplements of novels that have stood out for you since?

On a comics-related note, it never ceases to amaze me that more wasn't done on the comics front with these properties. They scream comic treatment, and while I know there were some mild attempts (available on DriveThruRPG), I have a hard time believe some smaller publishers like Alterna, Action Lab, etc, wouldn't want to tackle an IP like this.

Great choices.  I'd love to get an Action 36 and Superman 15!

Hm. Those early Superman issues are really something special, no? I had a lead on a coverless Action #23 but missed out on it.

I still need to get my hands on a Batman #20 -- one of the first GA books I fell in love with but never managed to acquire. And of course, maybe tack on another nice early GA Cap. Yeah, GA Bats, Cap, and Supes are pretty high on my list.

    Amazing Fantasy #15
    Amazing Spider-Man #1 (vol. 1)
Jim Lee Original Art - commission (preferably Batman and Catwoman)
Jim Lee Original Art - comic page (preferably Hush)
Infinity #4 Original Art - comic pages (the scene where Thor takes out the Builder)

Man, in Baltimore Comic Con 2008, I was next in line to get a free sketch from Jim Lee, and the ones he was doing were huge - 11"x14"! What killed me is that some of the folks who got their free sketch turned right around and flipped 'em. :tonofbricks:

  9. Um. I'm clearly not paying attention to what my comics are worth anymore, but

    1. FF1 is seriously worth more than all of these???

    2. TTA27 is being discussed in the same playing field as AV1 and TOS39???

Got a debate going w my brother and was curious what other collectors think.  We were talking about how FF1 is heating up so much lately and got on this 'would you rather' scenario.

As a collector (not a flipper!) would you rather own a mid grade Fantastic Four 1... or all of these three in mid grade: TTA27/TOS39/Avengers 1?

Nope. I found out after posting the link that photobucket no longer works. Tried deleting my post and couldn't do that either. Sorry!
