  1. Just saw that they updated the text under crossover on the Service Fees page to say Beckett and PSA... I'd send an email to service@cgccards.com to ask WTF as SGC is part of the Big 3 (now the big 4?) Got a feeling it might have to do with the plastic insert that holds the card and they feel that it might damage the card when they crack it, plus they can't see the edges too well with the black insert when they have to grade it before cracking it!
  2. Generally cards with Sub Grades sell for more than cards without.... So for cards that are worth $200+, you'd be leaving money on the table, or at least get the cost of the subgrades back when selling.
  3. Well, one way they write down on paper/enter into the computer, which spits it out on the slab, and the other they keep it in their head and figure out a final grade..... And then forget the mental subgrades.
  4. Womp, Womp.....Cue the you lost Price is Right music! Unfortunately they won't get to the box for 2-3 months, but i imagine it will only take days once they open it. Got to read those instructions first! So you will still get express grading, but not the free express box opening.
  5. They will cross anything I believe, but definitely the big ones (PSA, BGS, SGC)
  6. https://www.pwccmarketplace.com/submit-to-auction If you look at the images for some of the listings you pulled up to get your $14k value, you'll see a yellow PWCC logo at the bottom of them. Most likely the highest sales prices are all PWCC listings. With regards to the subgrades, your stuff is pretty elite, the price would only hurt if by chance when you sell them, there was another identical card with the same grade except it had subgrades... The subgraded card would most likely sell for more.
  7. I'm going to guess that the cards that are in the sleeves are slightly larger than they should be, thus in the past they would have just returned them saying that they were too big for their holders and no charge. But now that they have larger holders, they can slab the "miscut" cards, but with the sleeve.
  8. No, it means they are opening boxes/packages of submissions that were delivered the week of April 5.2021. If you send in some cards now at the two cheapest levels, CGC will not open the package for a couple of months most likely.
  9. I would say that they usually sell at the top of the range, of course there is no guarantee. But they have such a high profile, their listings usually get the most eyeballs. When you list things yourself, if you don't have such a high feedback level or listing skillset, then if the right peeps don't see your listing, you may not get the best price.
  10. Is there a company line in regards to pokemon cards that have become naturally curved over time, think this only occurs in holo's. Assuming they will look flat when slabbed, is there a deduction for it?
  11. Just contact CS and I'm sure they will reholder for you.
  12. Might be pretty even, I think the prices on eBay are similar for each variation ungraded. Maybe check the sales of graded ones.
  13. Sorting machine?? What did you ship them in, a plain white envelope? How could anything that USPS do affect the cards?
  14. Not an error, just a damaged, worth less card.... Besides, you can buy this card raw on eBay all day long for under $5...
  15. Is that a Magic the Gathering card.... Doesn't look like any Pokemon card that CGC would grade
  16. Interesting... Are they done with different lighting, or are they the same images except in a higher resolution?
  17. Well, if you're saying that there is no holo on that card, then it is 100% FAKE.... As I can see foil shimmer in the artwork in your pic, but if it isn't holo and just a static image, then someone simply took a pic of a real one and made a copy. Besides, the coloring of the background looks terrible. More red flags of a fake. Sorry Charlie.
  18. Then I would wait to get them back before bothering CGC.... The answer is probably gonna be attached to the card.
  19. Have had 3 submissions completed, 2 Express and 1 standard. All 3 have links in the Submissions page to images which I did NOT order (or agree to pay for). Were these done for free, or do I need to complain to CS for a refund since you don't get an itemized invoice on your orders? Thanks
  20. Because CSG didn't exist when CGC Trading Cards was born! Maybe you should be asking why couldn't CGC handle the sports cards
  21. Did you already receive the card back? I'd have thought that it would have a sticker that states the reason, such as Questionable authenticity or altered/trimmed.
