Cool books all rounds so far!

Got distracted and forgot to look at the reveal last night (wife and I watching the new FEUD: CAPOTE AND THE SWANS...really good/enjoying it). My best round yet...4.0 bullseye/4.5 had this book initially at 5.0/5.5 toggle and then last minute veered to 4.5 2 points/4.5 bullseye/7.0...had at 7.0/7.5 and toggled in wrong direction 1 point...and last book had at 4.0/3.5 and also toggled in wrong direction...that's a pretty fugly 4.0/VG 4 POINTS. On to ROUND 3

Grades in meant to say...

Thought this was a pretty difficult round...especially as I am apparently a consistent under-grader to CGC on most books, especially lower grade. So always in that case for me, stick with my initial grade (always a toggle between 2 half-grades) or bump?

Forgot the reveal was last night. Agreed...I had the COMET at 5.5 as well. Also graded the first one a full grade lower at 5.0. Same score...7 points with bullseye on last book. Not great...but not horrible...

Was thinking there would be 5 rounds but I guess we're done. Dam was just getting warmed up. Anxious to see the final standings and Zzutak's metrics. Thanks again as usual Mike for the contest...always fun. I do maintain especially for older GA books that on any given day any given grader the final grade could be within .5 of two grades. So in that sense bullseyes are a result of skill but a good amount of luck as well landing on the right .5 increment.

I agree. I always come up with 2 grades for each book...and then toggle the two grades for the final grade...and one of the two grades MAX possible grade. Had Kid K at 4.0/3.5 and settled on the 3.5...a lot going on for a 4.0 let alone a 4.5. 2 points. MMC 43 had at 3.5/4.0 and settled on 3.5...in some ways nicer than the Kid K. 1 point PEP 6 had at 5.0/5.5 and gave it the GA bump to 5.5. 1 point PUNCH 10 had at MAX 4.5...toggled 4.0/4.5 and settled on the 4.0. 1 point ACTION 39 had at 7.0/6.5 and landed on the bullseye 7.0. 0 point My best round ever with 5 points and puts me at a very respectable (for me) 22 points...just slightly over .5 off on 20 books.

Grades submitted. Goal this round is 5 points...tough round. Anything better will be a bonus and will require, most likely, bullseyes. Anything worse, CGC is WRONG!!

2 minutes??!! I need to extend my grading review by about 1 minute 45 seconds...

Have my grades ready to submit but checking all astrological and zodiac charts, Farmer's Almanac, moon phases, biorhythms, fortune cookies and my dog's opinions (based on arfs) the exact time to submit them.

Forgot all about the grades would be posted last night. Halloween in my neighborhood and especially our street is psycho...basically like a rave with parents (a lot in costume) and kids and real party! Average kids to doors/candy was above 600 by 8pm and things go on until about 9pm and then peter out...everyone's out of candy And then was super busy with work today and it just dawned on me to check results. First 3 books I was looking strong with 2 bullseyes and a total of 1 point. Then went downhill from there with 2 points on the MRA 68 book (had at 5.5) and total fail on the Nature Boy had at 5.5 = 3 points. ugh. Still, happy with the 6 as these books are waay outside my wheelhouse. Accumalitve total 3 rounds 17 points.

Correct. I originally thought I had a 7 on Round 2 but pretty sure I have a 6 for an 11 total...nothing to get too chimey about but my best start I think so far in one of these things...now, nailing 15 consecutive bullseyes just might put me in the running...

No way that Fantastic Fears is 4.5 book...I toggled 3.5/4.0 and fortunately landed on 4.0...but that is one fugly 4.5 ugh

That's not a mess...that's at minimum very good to fine/fine+ which was my score...1 off on 4 books and 3 off on the Thing book...I went 1.8...(figuring it was 1.5 to 2.0 max and split the difference) shocking that go a 2.5. If someone showed me that at 2.5 and requisite pricing I'd laugh. My 4 1-off grades from first book to last over/under/under/under...

More like a dime...or a nickel...but my worst book vs CGC grade I topped it out at a 5.5.

You and I have almost the exact same grades...and 5PT score. I was 5.5/4.0/3.0/3.5 bullseye/7.0
