  1. That collection is a great match to many of the very top registry sets in the ASM complete group. That has all of the 9.8 later issues that the top sets are missing. I'd bet most of those collectors don't mess with the later issues.
  2. Naomi Watts. Thanks, she pops up in commercials once in a while, beautiful. I liked that ASM collection from seeing it in the registry many times, it's the #1 in the variants collection, eman31. Hopefully he will give us a shot at some of them outside of the whole set. I'll take the #14.
  3. How hard would it be for that Kudos number to be added as a separate space in the avatar area? That should be easy, but then how can it be changed or updated without moderators controlling it? If that could be self controlled, then only monitoring the figures would be difficult. There would need to be a list, or post of the list of members and the ongoing figures. That we all could probably do, and the result could be the ability for anyone to compare the kudos figures(avatar to list), and know the data is fairly accurate.
  4. Yeah, I was kind of thinking I'd start my scamming right around post 8250. At the slow rate you're posting, it ain't never gonna happen Never trust anyone over 20,000.
  5. I think it does. It eliminates the hit and run sellers who come here only to rip us off. Number of posts is no guarantee of trust but it certainly reduces the risk. ... Ditto, it might help to prevent half or more of the most likely bad apples. Every little bit can help. I'm still rather new here but I hope most people know I'm a collector and not a dealer, or just somebody trying to sell stuff. I've got tons of things I'd like to get rid of, but time and the labor slow me down. That and people trust CGC grades more than mine. The ideas are good being tossed around. Keep at it until we do find a good compromise that we can work with. Looking at those post count figures for past offenders can point to what #'s might work best, also include the time until they messed up. Regards,
  6. Good intentions Heath. I agree with most of what's being suggested. Well since the other rules are basically self imposed, how about we all impose a post requirement for first time sellers? It isn't something which requires moderators to monitor. We could all decide on a reasonable post count(with more words than a few or a picture) that we'd like to see first. The probation list is something that we self police, board members speak up when somebody from the list jumps into the marketplace. Why not do the same thing with a minimum post count. Say 100 is needed to sell here, then assuming normal posts are made, people will get at lest an introduction to how new members think. It still is somewhat like eBay, lots of people don't buy from low feedback new members. Regards,
  7. Tom will take an offer that matches the last CLink #14, the big one. I was under bidder on that.
  8. Wild auction, the stuff I wanted went for GPA or more, and the things I have went cheap. Weird.
  9. $15 is a fair price for international shipping for a slab. Think he needs to go on the list. +1 That price sounds reasonable. And if the buyer didnt think so, he could have just contacted Sean and worked something out. Communication is key in any transaction, here on the boards or anywhere else. DR.X Actually $15 is cheap for a slab shipped from the US - I normally expect to pay twice that. Ditto, it's $22 from here to Canada, Priority Mail(the boxes are free and sized great for safe shipping). My ASM 50 was cracked in shipping from the UK, and it cost $30+. The guy used a packing envelope(inner pocket filled with shredded paper pulp).
  10. Ding ding ding. Just ask the Hulk from ASM 328, when Hulk was thrown into space by little old Spidey.
  11. Thank you Dennis, I do appreciate the business. A big KUDOS to apollobuzz
  12. Yes, a hair. Try resizing it down one. I found on photobucket that if you go the page of the individual picture, and hold the cursor over the picture a second it will tell you the percentage that you are looking at, of the full size file. If that size is just over 50% it will fit this page best. If the size is much under 50% than the screen wraps left/right like now. Regards,
  13. Why did Subby look like a skinny kid in some books and a big huge man in others? , nice book, love it.
  14. ASM #11 is a tough book by the HG census. As yet there are very few to be had, and when they do turn up look out.
  15. Wow, that's a rare book. How hard are those Annuals to find? That looks better than FVF in that picture. Night,
  16. Good books, and that #75 looks like the 9.6 from the auction. Beautifully cut.
  17. Very nice, it's good to know that there are some people that pack things really well.
  18. The #22's will close in just over an hour, the 6.0 is at $3900 at the moment.
  19. Hello everyone, I am going to start a sale thread tomorrow afternoon for my current extra CGC'd Spider-Man. They are listed in my For Sale registry in my signature. The AF15 and ASM 1 came back last week, and I could use any money for next week's auction. This AF15 is my PLOD 6.0, it got that from the right edge being trimmed. I have 19 other spares at CGC that should come back sometime soon. I'll list just the as sent in #'s/grades for those, maybe somebody is looking for those. Until then,
  20. This is probably it: ASM 24 9.4 Thanks, that was it. I wondered why again I didn't bid on it to begin with. It isn't bad, but boy the price was right. Regards,
  21. That is a very good looking 6.0 copy. I'll watch it to see how it goes. BTW, is it possible to find these books sold in the CLink auctions if you don't bid on them? I wanted to go back and see the 9.4 ASM 24 which sold last month, but I didn't bid on it. Ideas?
