  1. Hey Comicdey! Thanks for the shout out and it was awesome to be involved in the deal for you. I think it's a special copy and haven't seen many copies that look this nice in 5.5. Not one bit of Marvel chipping and the edges are crisp. Now, i'm posting some of my pics of YOUR Hulk 1 because your scanner blows. Enjoy it bro! I almost couldn't pack it up and ship it off to you...it is really sweet [/url] your photo makes the top edge look immaculate, while my image makes it look like it's been chewed on by a dog. In reality, it has general non color breaking bends of the overflash along the entire top edge. Beautiful copy, congrats. That's a great story of its history also, well done.
  2. Thanks Scott. There are other nice and nicer copies around, but usually they have been higher grades and/or priced way higher. I have a saved scan of a 9.4 that I think was on Pedigree years ago. Mine looks similar but the 9.4 has less wear along the bottom edge.
  3. Hey, I am proud to find this big book. Tough to get it in just the right centering, this is a keeper.
  4. I watched some of the HA auction today, and missed on a nice ASM 50. There were quite a few bargains from what I saw. This is my latest great find from last week.
  5. I like all Spidey books, but like many started with the real stuff, the ASM, the early issues. I like seeing any of them, but honestly not much past the early 70's is as interesting as the SA books. Post them all, I like hearing about how tough some books were to find, like a straight ASM 100, 122, or a 121 with no printing cuts at the bottom edge of the cover etc.
  6. Very nice set, that took some hard work.
  7. Thanks guys, the #4 really has been the toughest issue for me. I've had several raw copies, and the first "9.2" old label copy from 2003. I'm pleased now.
  8. I just received this new book this week. I've had a heck of a time getting a nice #4.
  9. That's a common writing spider, very big but not really dangerous. This thing below I found in my yard/grass while digging by hand. It's some kind of wolf spider, with large fangs for its body size. I didn't mess with it, but took it to the woods.
  10. More thanks to Steve for another smooth sale. He paid for an ASM 97 very quickly and I appreciate the help, all good. Regards,
  11. Ouch Jason! What killed that book's price wasn't the miswrap, it was the miscut. That is awful, the top is much narrower than the bottom. I hate the miscut books. ASM 122 is bad about having a non straight right edge. Many of them seem to be straight, but the right edge is cut with a curve or inward cut that changes back near the other corner. I've had a tough time looking for a straight 9.6 copy.
  12. I liked the look of the copy too...liked it so much I bought it Well done.
  13. I went by what the live auction list showed, which could be wrong or I got the wrong figure. I see your figure listed now in the results. It's hard to watch those auction pages, live. It's a good looking book, white pages, and a good price I think.
  14. The HA auction just sold a 7.0 for $16,730 today. Link to bigass picture; http://www.ha.com/c/lot-image.zx?saleNo=7079&lotNo=91172&id=10247886
  15. I received this just recently, one of my favorite covers.
  16. I have 3-4 spares of Amazing Spider-Man to let go, one is the Twin Cities #6 9.0 I got last year. I'll get to scanning them later today, I need to find the #52. ASM 6 9.0 #34 9.4 #52 9.2 #90 9.6
  17. OH YEAH!!! That's nice! Congrats Tom That is very nice, Congrats.
  18. Thanks for posting that one Parker. I always wondered where that story came from. It's in the first Marvel Treasury Edition I have. It's not a great story, but I thought I had read all of the old ones when I got the Treasury.
