My There is no requirement that books need to be offered at great deals, though often times there are great offers. My feeling is that books offered for sale in the forum marketplace are offers made exclusively to board members, which in of itself should be considered a great deal (hence, the strict policing of books that are available on other sites). As had been stated many times, sellers can ask whatever they want - buyers can always make PM offers for books.

Great pick-ups, Matthew! That second book simply looks like it's a shiverbones book.

The original PM would still be in tsimanga's list of messages. If you had deleted the PM from your end, then subsequent PMs sent by tsimanga would show up in the PM topic as "unread by: none". Also, if you had deleted your PM, tsimanga should have seen a message indicating you had removed yourself from the topic.

I gotta agree.. while there are some great deals on the boards lately, it seems that most people are pricing their books way too high. I've hardly bought anything here this summer.. I plotted the probation list additions by month to see if there really has been an increase, or whether the recurring discussions make it appear that way. From the chart it looks as if there's been a slight uptick. However, it should be noted that this chart does not include those who had been on the list but were removed after satisfying the agrieved party(s). I would guess that if that were factored in, there would not actually be an increasing trend, although the perception may still be present.
