  1. No, but he' such a proficient prestidigitator, it's just fun to catch him in one he set up for himself. but wouldn't it be more of a challenge to find somewhere in one of his great missives where he actually told the truth?!?!?!? That would be a challenge.
  2. Your other option is to use a silver/gold bag and use a standard board (or trim the s/g board), then fold over the side overhang of the bag and tape that down. Perhaps also trim the top flap.
  3. kudos to cowright for super fast shipment on a recent purchase.
  4. Isn't this something Steve or Cap should be revealing vs. hearing it second hand on a public forum? Not trying to defend his actions, if true, but this doesn't seem to be one of those issues that should be exposed by anyone other than the original parties on a message board... Jim I agree Jim but if this is true is pretty darn pathetic. My parents would have whooped my arse. I would normally agree with you but in this instance I knew Steve was not going to out Connor here(ask him yourself if you want to know why) but agreed people should be made aware that the kid has lost his way. Steve told enough people about what happened to get the word out, I just felt it needed to be heard here because there are many board members who do not read every thread or are not privy to every conversation and have no idea of the past or present history Connor is quickly accumulating. And as I said in my post, Connor can feel free to come here and set me straight and tell his side. I wish he would actually because I am flabbergasted as to what could have possibly been going through his mind at the time to think that prank was anything but malicious and extremely damaging to Steve. From what Steve told us, this doesn't cover all of Connor's bad behavior in SD. Unless one thinks it's OK to try to kick the host out of his own hotel room.
  5. Kudos to Elijah Snow for sending me a nicely packaged set of books.
  6. Kudos to newcomer mrlatko for quick and easy payment for a recent purchase.
  7. Woohooo! Plug them in and we'll be in the lead! (thumbs u Not sure whether you really want to add CS to the class. Besides, IIRC, CS wasn't his first username.

  9. That second point is something a few of us were PMing each other about today if Playboys are going to be sold on the forum regularly. There is the chance for the need to create an ADULTS ONLY section, with a disclaimer that if you are making purchases in that thread, you are validating legal age to do so. I can see this getting tricky since someone was already caught lying about their age to stay on the board. This notional subforum would also probably be the more appropriate place for selling risque and underground comics.
  10. Belated kudos to XelaFan for quick payment on a post-VCC purchase. Thank you!!
  11. I'm glad I was able to help fill your collection. Thank YOU for your purchases!
  12. Boy, you really need to get out more . . . Chi Bamm wasn't put on the list because he was called to duty, he was taken off the list because he was called to duty He hasn't been on the list since August 2007 and he was taken off the minute that was mentioned by anyone I suggest you actually read before you The person who placed him on the list didn't know why he wasn't responding to PMs. Once informed he and everyone agreed to remove him. I believe Dice is saying his name being adding to the list was a accident and his name should not ever have been or ever be there. Far be it from me to speak for the Dice man. I was the person at the time who wanted him on the list before I found out he was called to duty and was unable to respond to PMs and send the book. I haven't been around much and am trying to catch up around here and saw this. I agree to permanently removing Chi from the list, He shouldn't have been put on there after the facts were laid out. I felt bad then and when I see it, I feel bad now. If I had known at the time he was called to duty and unable to respond I would have never asked for him to be put on the list. It is noted that he was called for active duty. Just to play devil's advocate, what happens if the same scenerio repeats itself, at least someone will know that it is possible he was called again to duty. If we keep picking and choosing who should stay on a history list, it makes the entire process invalid. I admit that one name was removed because to mark a personal notation of its kind would be cruel. But if someone falters and is put on the probation list, they should be added to the history list once removed. Again, these are only my opinions. I like the idea of retaining reinstated people on an easy to find list with notations explaining special circumstances. (thumbs u It may be better that way for all interested parties.
  13. Aside from CS (the original one), I can't imagine anyone having problems with you guys.
  14. Kudos to ft88 for quick shipment of large set of books!
  15. Kudos to FUELMAN and capt_comics for quick payments on VCC purchases! Books are now in the mail.
  16. I am curious was the package opened from where it was shipped from, from where it was received from or somewhere in the middle of transit? Sorry I cannot read the stamp nor do I know the chain of origin either. Media mail can be opened any time during its travel. Anything with advertisement is not valid for media mail. DC Dollar comics are fine as they have no ads. Package was opened in Dublin, OH (state of origin). But, yes, the package can be opened at any location during the shipment. IIRC, there were books that contain ads. Ultimately, I think it's up to each P.O. to make the judgement as to what's acceptable.
  17. WOW!!! At least they got through... So, does anyone know for sure if putting in a few loose pages of sheet-music with your comics will get around their system (if the PO cares, that is?) -slym (wonders if that was the stuff he sold szelim) Nope - they arrived untouched. Note the stamp on the form.
  18. Received this in a box with a lot of moderns about a month or so ago: Books were unmolested.
  19. Don't forget about this post when he was added on 5/10/09.
