Of the 6 member mods that I'm aware of, I'm pretty sure we all knew of 2 of them. One is surprising and one is pretty much unknown to me. The other two I'd say are pretty level headed members that I'd trust being mods for these boards.

I have 6 now...we're only 199 off.

I thought it was just me. Here we go again...we will go through the typical cycle...outrage, bewilderment, some liking it, some who swear off the boards, adoption, acceptance and finally business as usual.

I had one of those facepalm moments on CLink this week - I bid on a book that I thought was undervalued in the auction. I looked at the label and did my research and decided to make an aggressive bid that was still under market value with the complete expectation that I was going to be outbid immediately. Lo and behold, I was not and I was the high bidder. That got me thinking a little and I looked at the listing bit closer. What I thought I was bidding on, and what the CGC label said, was a first print, however, in the listing it said that it was a label error that was currently being fixed by CGC because it was a second printing. Up until about 15 minutes before the end of the auction I was still the highest bidder when someone else outbid me and created a new high for that book. Dodged a bullet but left me with a sense that I need to read the listing completely before I place my next bid. Live and learn.

I'm planning on sending myself to CGC after I die so I can be encapsulated. Hopefully they'll put two sheets of microchamber paper.

Why? Serious question - I never understood why that book garnered so much $$. Just because it's a Jim Shooter book?

At least I wasn't the only one who didn't read the text in the search bar. That was one of the most annoying things of GPA - having to click the title and then scroll down the pull down menu for the issue number. What a time saver and good tip.
