I look at 9.8 as the max structural grade. Other factors that are related to the manufacturing, like centering, color strike, etc. would allow for a 9.9 or 10.

The story behind 2/4...and my Daredevil #1 grail!
JazzMan replied to HarveySwick's topic in Comics General
Whatever happened to @HarveySwick? Looks like he's been off the boards for almost 2 years. -
Well, it took 47 days, crossed the country twice and it finally made it to my mailbox today.

Holy smokes! Check out this bad boy that was shipped to me (in California) back at the end of November. It's done more cities and had a longer tour than the Alanis Morissette/Tori Amos tour back in '99. Hopefully I get it this month...or maybe next month. Double Cover Treasury...Does One Exist?
JazzMan replied to comicginger1789's topic in Comics General
I'm a bit skeptical about it. Not saying the listing is false, but the covers would be glued at the spine onto the interiors and the outer cover has no attachment - it would just be loose over the cover. It would be hard to authenticate an actual double cover of a treasury sized book that would not be attached to the book itself. -

An example of CGC Consistency. It's not like they are months nor years apart and have changed their minds...it's a day between gradings.

That's what I get for sleeping. Great pick up.

The late great Otto Binder disrespected by Tom King
JazzMan replied to HuddyBee's topic in Comics General
I am fortunate enough to own a book from his personal collection with his notes in the table of contents. I read the page above but to me it didn't look offensive. Watchmen has always taken dark, real events to highlight the twisted tales. I read this as an homage to a mostly forgotten name and brought him and his family back to the current narrative - bringing him alive again with a voice reaching out to his daughter and brother. -
I received my second package, this time from @unclezebo Great fun and looking forward to the December to do this all over again! It's the time of year that I always look forward to.

Big thanks to @Vfactor1 for the high grade early 2001: A Space Odyssey books! I love that psychedelic Kirby art from that series and these were on my Santa wish list!
