It would not make sense if the book value was the only factor but that's not the case. The different pricing is for different services. Nothing stopping someone picking a walk-through tier for a book worth less than $1000. They pay more, they get it back quicker.

Books of a higher value must go through faster tiers because CGC wants to deal with those more quickly.

I guess I should have been more specific.  The Modern and the Economy Tier are the same value levels and 1 is 50% more.  Also while yes in theory the TATs are faster for the higher levels if suddenly standard tier got the same level of submissions as the lower tiers I'm sure the TATs would be at a similar level and then you would be paying more for the value of the book not because they would be getting it to you faster.

No offense but its a rather bad idea. Bronze/Copper would be priced higher and Modern would remain least expensive. I really do not think it would ever fly to charge higher for modern than Bronze/Copper.

The only way to stop flow is was PSA did and that is to remove all but express and walk through for at least 1/2 a year if not longer.  However Venture Capitalists do not want to consider that.

The goal of a Venture Capitalist is to squeeze as much out of a purchase as immediately as possible. Just like with an orange after nothing but an all wrung-out rind remains, they move on the next one.  Retaining Customers for business down the road is not part of their process.

While there are few rare exceptions no Venture Capitalist has ever left a firm stronger when they pull out than it was prior to them taking over.

The whole different pricing for tiers thing based on value never made any sense to me.  Imagine going to a car wash and what they charged to clean your car was based on the market value of your car.  Nevermind the service is the same thing.

I was just going to post this in Golden Age- wtf happened?  I used to love this site.  First time I tried it, a couple years ago?- I subscribed immediately. Everything was so easy and direct. Clear tables and graphics and data, all at a glance on the same page.  Intuitive links to current auctions, other books in the series, etc.  I'd log on at conventions, during auctions, or whenever I was tracking sales/current prices for GA comics. Considered it a collecting tool that was worth every monthly penny.  BUT I just now logged on to Gocollect to research a book listed on the boards, and found this completely remodeled, totally confusing site.  I can't even figure out what Gocollect is anymore. Is it a data site?  A sales site?  A top 100 site? A collecting blog?  Spent 10 mins trying to figure out how to see the current sales of a particular GA book, and couldn't figure it out.  What a disappointment. Why the change? Maybe it's not catering to GA collectors anymore? Curious if others find the remodel an upgrade. So bummed- and so unsubscribed.

My sentiments are similar to this.  Seems like they gave it more of a looks overhaul but my snap judgement right now is that the usability is worse.  I have to click many more times into deeper levels of the listing to find data that I could find much easier before.  Sure it looks better, but it seems like they tried to copy GPAs look and feel, however GPA has been doing that longer and I now find myself using them alot more when before I never did.
