  1. I wouldn't have had a problem with the post if it had been more accurate and not trying to rip people off into thinking that only a few copies were out there. Be honest from the start and say that over 100 were sold, don't imply that it's in the dozen area, and then let people bid accordingly. Seems like the only ones with their panties in a bunch are you and the Comic BS I guy who won't be able to gouge potential suckers its Comic-B.S.-I. Please use the proper hyphens and periods in future sentence structures. BTW I did see a few people with copies of the Preacher WW comic con box variant that had the Preacher and Vertigo logos on the front. And by that I mean "only a few" Weird. I'm sure we're only just starting to begin to see the flood of new Preacher #1 reprints. I know we've all moved on to Rebirth. But that virgin Preacher 1 reprint is making some people a tidy profit on Ebay. I believe it was stated that it was $20.00 per at WWPhilly. If that was the case at least one guy has made about $500 bucks +/- on the bay. Heck, the 'free' reprint is selling for 5.00 per. Hilarious. Yeah, probably should've bought 5 or 10 of them for the quick sale. Curious to see what they sell for when it's officially released in the WW box. "If" they follow the same pattern as the BA 12 reprint, there will be a full color with title logos, the virgin variant and a sketch variant Ahhhh, The Secret Origin of your i-ness: Yeah, probably should've bought 5 or 10 of them for the quick sale. You were right there. Opportunity staring you down. You couldn't pull the trigger. Others did. You got really, REALLY cranky & needed a nap. You're better now. Secret Origins rule! What's it like being a compete miserable cockhead your entire life? Your history of public racist remarks is well documented, it's a miracle that you're still here and aren't on probation again. It's gotta be killing you to hold your db tongue. I chose to not "pull the trigger" on multiples of these reprints, it's not like I didn't have the opportunity, they were there for days puta. Should I have made a few bucks? Sure. Will I lose sleep over it? Nope. The $30 I paid for a Herr Starr sketch is worth more to me than getting a couple of books to flip. If you don't get that, and I'd gather that you don't, then you never will. Go peddle your Jesus Island toilet paper. You're a joke Your history of public racist remarks is well documented, "Lonzilla", I engaged in an online debate about Miles Morales & went way over the top trying to be funny.... Once.

Ask around.
  4. 100+ copies of a DC property isn't low? If that's the entire print run, yes. But we all know that it's not Are your panties bunched because you didn't buy one? *shrug* The guys that were on the floor & recognized the opportunity at hand should do well. First to market usually commands a premium, right? That was a killer show. I was hanging out with him for 2 days. I got hooked up **Alex (his handler / mgr) also gave me a copy of the Batman Adventures #12 Comic Con Box variant then why all the whining? you should be pleased. You're upset because somebody posted the info, when it should have been you? You were the guy "hanging." Any & all questions should be directed to you.

  6. I have a feeling the animated movie might not move prices too far up...... Yeah, have to agree. If they were to announce Miles appearing as a minor character in Homecoming I think THAT would move the needle considerably higher than a standalone out of film continuity animated project will. Plus, Marvel doesn't exactly have a track record with feature animation at this point. I would say this will see small bump on the value. Not a huge jump but likely to see some activity on the book from this announcement. would say this will see small bump on the value. Disagree. Entirely. Miles = $ Big money.
  7. I dont think your stupid and i am not trying to dismiss you ! Because by ordering the nearest case pack over the needed amount there probably is always a surplus on the variants... We have seen the sales and the store surplus deals. if marvel needed 400 copies for the diamond final order cutoff they would most likely order 3 cases.. 675 copies.. I have definitely been told things like this. This would leave a surplus of 275 copies if no other copies where needed for damage or whatever. I've been told similar. By sources at the publishing level & distribution level. But it falls under the CGC board logic category: Generic "I know things about stuff" boast. I've made obnoxious purchases on rare variants. As have many retailers here. +10000000 thanks LARRY ! you do know ! OK now I'm going to keep it short, simple and to the point. WHEN TALKING ABOUT "LIMITED" VARIANTS WITH LOW NUMBERS... THERE IS A HUGE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN 400 COPIES AND 675 COPIES. I mean "Hello McFly" 275 surplus copies??? Ummmm. That's more than half the amount that is originaly being claimed. Now I'm sure everyone is wondering why I'm going over such simple math. Well it seems some do not understand simple math or it's implications on small print runs. Wake up to reality. Stop claiming 400 when you know that's impossible. It makes you an intentional lier. Why put a print run number on it at all? You don't know... I don't know... The customer doesn't know. Cocgobbler #1 1:75 variant is sufficient
  8. BOOM! DC solicited retailers with a stink bomb cover, THEN switched to the Norman Rockwell-esque one... Book of the week.
  9. He isn't in costume. Only his dads cape, so still not his 1st appearance as Superboy. Ha Haa Haaaa Now you have them listed on Ebay for $25 You REALLY hate that book don't you! Gonna be book of the week. At midnight release tonight we sold out. It's on everyone's radar. DC kept that Norman Rockwell cover under wraps... Showed shops a dud cover. NOBODY "hit" it...
  10. I'm middle of the pack. Not a large account. Not small... I've been around a bit.

The sold off more than hundreds.... They had obnoxious qty's... Cases and cases. Factoid. Jacktoid.

  14. Well played, RockMyAmadeus. Just when i think there's NO way you could be any more grating than you already are, you bust out that spoiler tag shenanigan. You take d ink to a whole now level with that one. Kudos.
  15. What's your point? That wasn't an incentive variant. I believe the point is that diamond sits on a lot of books and blows them out cheap No. Publishers have to pay Diamond to store their overstock after a certain period of time. When that time arrives, the PUBLISHER blows them out cheap via Diamond. Believe what makes you feel better about yourself.
  16. No, no, no. Only very small numbers of crappy variants get sold through those sales. Are you saying the retailer incentive programs are a complete fraud? WHY ARE YOU TRYING TO UNDERMINE THE VARIANT MARKET??? Am I doing it right? Don't be an insufficiently_thoughtful_person... This thread doesn't want to hear the way it is... Sorry if the truth tinkles on your investment a bit.
  17. Ooooo heading to warehouse now. gotta strike while iron is hot. good one.
  18. Awesome! I think this will change alot of things for this book which was already on the up and up Curious. WHY do you think it is on the way up? Blue Marvel?! Ok
  19. I can't get past that feminine / hipster Joker visual.. Awful stuff. If that's the "look" of the Joker post Rebirth... Get ready for the "Train Wreck" So. Maybe there is info here. Justice League #50 is supposed to reveal Joker's Identity this Wednesday. We saw Batman's reaction in #42... He was all: Noooooo! This variant hints there's a little Wayne in Joker & a little Joker in Wayne. Speculation: Half Brothers. Joker is Thomas Wayne's son. BAM!
  20. Do you see a time when they'll give up on monthlies altogether and just create full arcs for trades? That might help the market in a couple of ways: 1) More innovative storytelling when the writer isn't constrained to wrap up a story in 22 pages. 2) Any speculation (especially for first appearances) requires the purchase of a bigger book rather than a single issue. Where have you been? Almost EVERYTHING is written for the trade these days... I have NO idea what part two of your post means. They're written for the trade, but they're still published monthly. What I'm asking is your opinion on whether printing a monthly comic might stop, with the trade being the only printed option. If that happened ( doubtful ), CGC would need some deeper cases. :0

  22. Honestly think comic sales are down in my shop, because trade sales are through the roof. Daredevil Netflix didn't make the monthly title boost even a little, but trades went ballistic for a month... The month before Superman / Batman my shop sold Dark Knight trades like crazy. Comics didn't see an increase. Right after Superman / Batman movie Wonder Woman trades caught fire... Publishers still getting the $ And I hate to break it to you all....Shops too. Right now Marvel & DC's lines are awful. They've diluted their properties to placate diversity & Hollywood.
  23. If you enjoy speculating on moderns, this particular community would rather you keep it to yourself,eh? Perhaps this is the very reason for the rise of other speculator venues. The moderators here have allowed vindictive lunatics to absolutely run this community to the ground.
