Any hope you can give me the lowdown on the eight parts? I bought superman / WW 32 as (I think) you said, even if you may have delted that post because I could not find it again! there is NO spec in Action #52, not this week. When Superman #52 hits in two weeks & the general public, lapsed fans & holdouts scramble to buy the eight part story. That's the window for the flip. ( been saying that for weeks though...pay attention or you're fired )

I don't know why anyone pays the least bit of attention to what comes out of that site and its head toolbag. Having said that, I can't remember a new book being hot, cold and hot again in its first week. i'll sleep better just placing all the blame on Rich Johnston *SHRUG* who knows if it'll be legit after rebirth... NO idea what's coming. The whole it's key, it's not key, it's key again week has been spectacular.

cuz he's actually selling some of them? I think the point was that selling something at the initial retail price is not "heating up". A $4 book selling for $45 is heating up but a book selling at $45 initial retail price is something else entirely. Black Mask is counting on it's built-in fan base to keep them afloat. With that many covers and the lack of new books released, they're gonna be burning bridges pretty fast. There has to be some mathematical formula to discuss the relationship between number of variants vs. total number of issues in a series that will predict success vs. failure of a title. I suspect the short term goal is sell as many copies as possible to fund the remaining books in the series. I don't think they are thinking # of variants = readership numbers (sales of books #2, #3 etc) My bet they're thinking: Let's keep this paper train rolling until we sell one of these properties to Hollywood...

Both. The Darkseid war One Shot really helped Grail's 1st, and if you read it, Jessica Cruz's trifecta 1st appearances too. They are moving now on the hype, but will they maintain? In regards to the book you posted, logic was used I feel and people termed it "pump and dump". Seems to me like those people are salty about not picking it up/thinking of it first, before it got hot. It happens to us all at some point. I have a right to draw conclusions using context clues. X-23 is a Hot item right now, assume every one of her key books will be affected by more exposure to her. Someone else connected the dots, and resulted in the rise of a few of her key's. If they lurk without posting or discussing, then they aren't excluded from buying into the hype. I also highly doubt they never sold a single book, nor ever offered a trade/did a trade for a book(s) they wanted to have and used one they didn't care for so much to offer. It's in the nature of this hobby to buy, sell and trade your way to a complete run/collection. Not at all, and I know a shill when I see one. Lots of people here do it. Green Lantern #0 1:25 is the one "sharks" have been in the shop for. We got picked off at $10 I was Wrrr Wrrrr Wrong about Darkseid War issues "popping" after the Rebirth news. Anyway.

Except they mention rebirth in Green Lantern 20...when it was published in 2013. And they also explicitly state that Simon Baz will train Jessica Cruz: So when DC announced the new Green Lanterns title, emphasis on the plural Lanterns there, it was easy to figure out that they were sticking with the idea. Confirmed early in this week or last week when they released the image of a female green lantern. As another male Green Lantern I don't even know if Simon Baz is worth discussing. Hell, Jessica Cruz might not even be worth discussing in terms of speculation. But female characters have been moving the dial lately, so why not? Oh I understand now. When you saw Rebirth announcement, you understood that meant that although DC's entire continuity was in "flux" they were sticking to the one story Geoff wrote in GL #20 2013. Completely logical. Completely believable.

I set up at Big Apple con & it was an incredible seller. Depending on HOW it creates Rebirth could generate a number of Key's Right now I lke em all... Let's see how it plays out.
