I couldn't stand Happy. I cant read modern Grant Morrison. It was one of my shop's most successful creator owned/Image launches of 2012. The movie news has caused online prices to spike quite a bit. Solid $8 book Out of 100 Happy #2 ordered, we got 4 variants.

The twenty shops in my Phantom variant program are reporting sellouts across the board. (Bedlam 2-6 phantoms are indeed coming) I have one a week coming for the next couple months. Hawkeye seemed REALLY under ordered up these parts. Matt Fraction is a hit or miss creator. He nails it with Hawkeye. All I can tell you from the vantage point of my cash register is that fan reaction seems overwhelmingly positive. That's a step in the right direction. Let's check back in seven months, shall we?

Bedlam #1. Thick coverstock. Soft corners. Production marks. Dark spine issues. Just sayin.. Out of factory sealed cases of 160: 90nm, 60nm-, 10 . Get to your lcs early to get the BEST copies.

VERY excited to receive my first order of Phantom variants today. Once Bedlam second print got announced my in store subscription service doubled it's requests to pull & hold the book. That's a great sign.

Sorry if that pisses in your cheerios, but I think the crash of 90's and the variants that helped cause it are historical fact. I don't think I am the only one who knows that either. All those closed comic shops and guys with 150 copies of X-Force #1 or Rai and the Future Force #9 probably agree. Speculation on Moderns only works if you get rid of them almost immediately. For every Walking Dead that you are rewarded for hanging onto, there are probably 100 books you won't be able to give away. Some people just choose to ignore it, especially if they've got something to gain at the moment, Sir. (thumbs u Annnd you fail to see what is right in front of your eyes *It's NOT just about the variant. It's about a historic effort to support properties at a monetary level that matters, with exclusive in store displays & promotions for the creators by retailers.
