  1. That #25 Rip Hunter Time Master with the Grey-Tone Kubert cover is insane
  2. The variety of titles is draw of collecting Showcase . . . and so, now for something completely different. I sold the #77 that was here - so I posted this #53 as a substitute

  8. Great, just great! Now I have to try and remember who the hell you are. Blame accessndx, he started calling me Boba, and I liked it. Boba is a lot simpler to type without the hyphens - but I discovered your log in stays the same, so . . .
  9. I'll wrap this session with a #6 White-pager:
  10. . . .and next, the infamous up-crouch shot cover by Russ Heath
  11. I've been here about 7 years, I think it's time we started one of these. The book that started it all for so many Silver Age DC titles. Post them if you got them. Let's start at the beginning . . . By the way, it's me Bob-a-loo with a new identity
  12. It probably has a lot to do with the early episode where Lance accused Oliver of being the Hood and Diggle impersonated the Hood to deflect suspicion away. Now that Lance "knows" Oliver isn't the Hood / the Arrow, he doesn't see that connection anymore. Much like how no one in Metropolis can reconcile mild-mannered Clark Kent with Superman despite the fact his "disguise" is a pair of glasses... . . . The addition of the mask was a big improvement over the eye-shadow!
  13. I thought it was s good solid episode the other night. Does anyone else think Sebastian Blood is using some magic to get everyone to fall for his "I'm a good guy routine"? Even Ollie is taking it hook line and sinker. Felicity continues to enchant. Dibble is so cool. The actor who plays blood is quite convincing, I'm having a hard time disliking him myself.
  14. I think we need to get over it now that they at least gave him a mask. It's a comic-book universe, suspend reality and it's fine really I think Laurel's dad (officer Lance) knows who he is and just let's Ollie think otherwise. I mean he referred to Felicity (being on his team) talking to the vigilante (GA) on the rooftop - didn't Lance meet her at Ollie's place?
  15. Better then the earlier episodes, but I'm sorry - the fight sequences are very tame compared to Arrow's. I'm glad it's gotten better, and I hope it lasts, but tonight's the real deal
  16. That being the case then yes I am happy. Most of my unhappiness with declining values is associated with my selling my undercopy to upgrade. If I wanted to bump the grade, I usually like to at least break even when I sell my under copy.
  17. Btw there's a 4.5 white page Sensation #1 on ebay by mycomicshop I believe.
  18. The #7 is scarce, has a very classic cover (early woman's rights) and is probably coveted by collectors who don't even collect WW.. . . . and I checked the census, it and another 8.0 are the 2nd highest grade, with 2 9.4's (if you can believe that!) sitting on top.
  19. You're correct I used too strong a word, a book would not be obsolete - it would be a snapshot in time of the first and perhaps most important pedigrees. I have been as enthusiastic as anyone about this book - I was only suggesting some possible options. I'd love to have a few copies of a book!
  20. Serious WW's on eBay just found new homes. An 8.0 CR/OW #7 sold for upwards of $3800. A 5.5 Sensation #1 went for less than $15k. I was knocked out early on the #3 (upgrade).
  21. I offered help with graphics, i.e. prepping the book for print . . . Maybe the idea of a static book is no longer practical. Considering how many pedigrees have popped up in recent years, and with baby-boomers reaching old age, more yet may be on the horizon. The Pedigree web site is cool - but it needs help (updates). I think CGC should maybe consider taking this on and linking the pedigree web site to the census, and allow pedigrees to be identified within the total number of existing issues in each grade. Without the pedigree slabs, would anybody really care so much about pedigrees? CGC has a vested interest in maintaining the popularity of the Pedigree designation, so why not bank-roll a registry for them? And a Pedigree Web site in lieu of a printed book may be more logical. As new pedigrees are discovered, a book becomes obsolete, whereas a web site that links to the census (and by virtue to the set registry) would constantly be updated. . . . adding to the popularity of the registry as well, which also drives more collectors to have books slabbed * That's my * take it from me
