  1. Yes. I can't find it listed anywhere (like MCS). It's entirely possible this was in a box with some collection I picked up, but I didn't even log it in my spreadsheet, which means it might have been something I picked up around the time of that campaign. Measure 31 was voted on in the November, 1996 general election.
  2. I do believe that Pascal is too old - he will be 50 when this hits the theaters. IMHO in FF #1 Reed and Ben are about the same age and should be in their early 30s, Sue I would say is in her early/mid 20s and Johnny's a teenager (16 or 17). He goes to college in FF #50, which is about 2 years after the Life magazine shown in the Valentine's Day picture. Kirby is older than FF #1 Sue but could be great - obviously we're not getting the early Sue Storm who was kind of a wallflower, certainly the least powerful of the four. Kirby's an -kicker, so a much later Sue Richards.
  3. Here, though, is my real concern about this movie.
  4. I can't remember who is in what universe, but a pretty obvious outer space foe during the first several years of FF books were the Skrulls.
  5. @eccomic This is one of my areas of interest in collecting (what I think of as "promotional" comics - a "kids" format used to influence adults). Here's another VD-prevention book.
  6. Assuming that's the time setting for the movie, FF #21 (Hate Monger) was published that month, followed by #22 (Mole Man), #23 (Doctor Doom), #24 (Infant Terrible).
  7. My only advice to the writers: READ THE SOURCE MATERIAL.
  8. Here's one it's possible nobody else on the Boards has. It was published by Dark Horse in response to a Statewide ballot measure having to do with defining "obscenity." The book has two different covers (both of which had been published as actual comics previously) and the interior is completely blank aside from an argument against the ballot measure on the inside front cover and inside back cover. "Lance Blastoff" cover is by Frank Miller and Lynn Varley, "Star Slammers" cover is by Walter Simonson. I can't for the life of me remember where I got it.
  9. Who has the better Football Hall of Fame - Canton or Sing Sing?
  10. "...a reign of terror by the Libertarian Party...." Now that guy has an imagination!
  11. Please let me know when these books are going to show up in your sales thread, because . Really nice books!
  12. Two in today's mail from @DR.X. Fills the last 2 holes betwixt #26 and #178.
  13. I doubt it. I might be able to get some trade $$ at the used record store up the street, maybe the $2 I paid for it.
  14. I think if we can enlist Mr. Freeze's help we can make short work of them newts.
  15. From an Estate Sale today. No record in the Hulk album cover. JFK tribute album is open at the side but in the original shrink wrap. All the "kid stuff" seemed well loved.
