  1. . Sue Storm had a mullet for a couple of issues.
  2. What if I fade the entire cover (both the front and back) together?
  3. Depends on your needs. If you're a collector, one will suffice for your collection. Or maybe another one if you're picking up for somebody else. If you're a speculator, flipper, and /or dealer you'll probably take them all.
  4. Sometimes you need a break. As much as I adore my wife, occasionally, we take separate vacations. Does wonders. Maybe you need a break from comics. I took a 10-year break from comics back in the 90s, I still don't buy many books. But I enjoy what I have.
  5. With the current interest in Eternals, I decided to check out what I had. I was pleasantly surprised to find this,
  6. What's really surprising is there are no signs of water damage on the interior pages No stains or tide lines, other than the rust migration. The pages were all warped and wavy before the press. The presser did a good job of flattening each page. I would say all the pages are OW/W. For the amount of water damage that shows on the covers, I'm amazed the pages inside look so good.
  7. I tend to agree with your assessment. I was thinking it was in the VG range because of those glaring flaws. But damn! It is a nice book otherwise after it was pressed. I'm just wondering if I could have mitigated the severity of those flaws by airing out the book immediately instead of keeping it in the bag all those years.
  8. A little background: I purchased this comic through The Buyer’s Guide back in the late 70s. It was advertised as NM, What I received was a water-damaged comic, still wet in the bag. I was so angry and disgusted that I felt like throwing it away. I ended up stashing it away with some junk comics. Flash forward to now. I rediscovered it in a box and it brought back bad memories. I decided to have it pressed. Here are the results. It actually doesn’t look too bad. There’s still a lot of gloss and surprisingly, the page quality is actually pretty good. The waviness is gone and it lays flat. The downside is the tide lines and rusty staples. What would you grade it? Before picture After pics
  9. ?!?!?! Acceptable percentage? Do you go to a service to get something done only to find out they screw it up about one-third of the time? Is one in three acceptable anywhere else?
  10. Disrespectful? To whom? "Non-professional?" Is a graded comic to be only bought and sold by a professional? Sure it may not make economic sense to break a graded comic out of its slab, but it's yours to do whatever you want. Being "disrespectful and unprofessional" is your prerogative. Ain't nobody's business but your own.
  11. Dang! I just got back to the hotel and saw this, I'm out of the country, so I don't have access to the internet except at the hotel.
  12. McDonald's, KFC, and Pizza Hut have a major presence in China, especially in the larger cities. When I was in China last year, these restaurants were all over the place. There's plenty of opportunities to chow down on burgers, fried chicken, and pizza. But you're right in that Chinese food, in general, is more healthy than the junk food you get here.
  13. Epic Illustrated #1 Edit: Oops! Didn;t see the above. I'm just killing time in my hotel room.
