  1. The only Terry O'Neil sighting at the convention.
  2. Ron Murray was getting a headache from all the sight of too many fanboys. I think he would feel better if someone would post funny stuff on the boards.
  3. Brad from FVF Comics had a the pleasure of holding a grail. Apparently an older collector was trying to get an appraisal on his book.
  4. I went back inside the convention center and enjoyed the comic book world...
  5. Late Friday, I went outside to join my wife and friends who were in the Hall H line. For those of you who do not know, Hall H holds about 7500 people. So the convention staff started handing out wristbands at 9:15 PM. The group did not get theirs until 12:30 AM Saturday! My head hit the pillow at 1:30 AM and the alarm went off at 5 AM. We had to get up early because everyone had to be in line no later than 7:30 AM. We met up with our friends, and I left my wife with them and I headed over to Cafe 222 for breakfast. Vinny from Metro was two tables over and he looked just as sleepy as I felt. I grabbed coffee and muffins for the "group", delivered them and waited with them for about an hour. The second pic shows a fellow form England. We met him the night before and chatted with him for a few minutes that morning. My wife mentioned that he didn't get my American humor and he must have thought I was quite odd. My wife was able to speak to him in a British accent, which amused him. I guess watching Downton Abbey and all those PBS British programs helped.
  6. Early Friday, the wife and some friends were meeting to get Hall H wristbands for a Saturday panel. So this meant they had to wait on Friday for this (they rotated, so as not to spend all day in line). The first pics show the action behind the convention center. I dropped her off with the friends and went into the convention center to attend the CGC panel. The CGC Friday panel was OK, as they talked about the process for submitting books and Matt graded one modern book. He explained what some of the defects were and gave the final grade. On the Saturday panel, he graded some Golden Age and Silver Age books. He also pointed out some restoration on one book. It was quite interesting! Before he gave out that final grade, the audience was invited to guess the final grade. CGC tee shirts were given to the person who guessed correctly.
  7. Late Thursday, the wife and I headed over to Little Italy for a boardie dinner. A big "thank you" to @comick1for setting it up. Just outside the restaurant, a gentlemen was singing (and quite well) and one couple started dancing.
  8. The Blue Bolt was purchased by a fellow boardie. What a cool book!
  9. Hake's and another dealer. I don't remember who had the GS X-Men 1, but here it is...
  10. I headed over to Harley's booth and he had about 5 boxes of a new collection. Here's the certificate that goes with it. Apparently, this is just the tip of the iceberg. I don't know how fast it will come to market, but it was fun to go through it all. A few minutes later, Mr. Bedrock came over for a small chat. He showed us his new original art acquisition. It was
  11. The wife and I waited outside the convention center for the 9:30 AM opening. Again, there was a 15 minute delay before they let anyone in. I seemed to be in a better mood about it, so I took some pics of people. Here's one...
  12. After breakfast, there was a neat sand carving across the street from the convention center.
  13. It was on to the hotel for a good night's sleep! I spent a little more for our accommodations and it paid off. The room was very nice and very quiet. The next morning we headed to my favorite place for breakfast, Cafe 222.
  14. Here are a few Preview nights pictures of a Worldwide Comics...
  15. Well 6 PM came and went and they were not letting anyone in. I think they had a long line upstairs for anyone who wanted to get in first. Those people had to file in before they opened the doors in the front. By 6:20 PM, the doors were not opened. I was starting to get upset. However, I wasn't sure if my feelings were due to my hunger pangs, so I made a quick run over to Kansas City BBQ for a quick sandwich. That place was busy and it was interesting to see the manager run around and tell all the servers not to accept reservations until Monday and not to accept any take out orders. It was funny to see first time customers "oh and ah" over the Top Gun movie displays.
  16. Here's the Covid line outside the convention center...
