I almost pulled the trigger on that copy when it was posted in the marketplace... I was <> this close. The COW pages bothered me but Buffyfan slapped me back to reality and said, "It's Fiction House. You're lucky they're not brown." The pages on my copy are white with just a hint of cream on the edges. FWIW, I paid slightly more than what this book was being offered for ($100 less than the dealer had it marked). In hindsight I think this copy was a real bargain. If it were mine I think I would have put it on CLink for much more. I bet Buffy didn't slap ya that hard ....................................

I'm gradually closing in on it; I need these 25 issues (to have #1-566)--20 Silver Agers and 5 more recent ones: #2-7 9 12-13 15-16 18-21 23 27-28 31 54 Vol. 2 #15 19 29 #531-532 This will be especially sweet since, like a knucklehead :doh:, I once, back in '92, had a complete set (#1-362) but sold off many of my early ones that year. Oh, and a big thank you to RikkiB, who GAVE me #561-566 which I needed because my LCS has been closed since early this summer.

Nice books Nik! Kinda surprised at the PQ on the Avengers 14 as its a Big Apple and the SA stuff is notorious for COW pages. Nice ASM 39. Thats when the good art started Where are the DC's at How in the world did that FF#49 get a higher grade than that Avenger's #14 ?? ... ...Am I missing something ? That Avg.'s looks perfect , and that FF has all kinds of prob.'s ! ....

Marc Thanks a lot my friend. It was fun while it lasted, and a heartfelt thanks to you and everyone else here on the Boards who I have dealt with in the past. It took me little more than a year to amass a nice collection (In my opinion of course ) of FFs. They were my pride and joy, and though it hurt to have to had let them go , they are only funny books, after all, and my beliefs in preserving my family run much deeper indeed...If I ever DO collect again, best believe I will have an even better collection the next time around.
