Mike has had the book for almost 4 years and I've been trying to get it back from him for about a year now. Obviously, my attempts increased exponentially after he was exposed in June/July. Mike replied to me by email back in December saying that he was sick with COVID and would return all of the books he had once he had recovered. Not sure what more I can do at this point. Praying he will eventually send me back the book even if it is in pieces.
Hades is too good for dechellis. He had my AF-15 and my money for restoration. My book was the one with the black sticker in the photo a few posts back of the af-15's that he was selling. He returned my AF-15 but not my money. I did a lot of work calling law enforcement, local courts, police depts, and the Oregon DOJ to push this guy into realizing he has to return these items that he stole. Thank goodness for Sauce Dog who was relentless in organizing a method to start a return process from this crook which was successful for some of us. Even Sauce has had it trying to deal with this maniac.

He had the book about 7 months. My money that I had paid him is gone. I was one of the filers of the complaints to the Oregon DOJ and I had done a lot of research in trying to find ways to get the books back. Sauce dog deserves full credit for starting the survey and organizing a solution to this dreadful problem. He was the one dechellis called and they spoke of how the books will be returned to , at least, the filers of the complaint. This was my dreadful experience dealing for the first time with this type of horror. I can't say too much about dechellis at this point because I do not want to jeopardize in any way the victims getting their books returned.

This sucks. Did you at least get the book in the same condition?
(No new damage?)
The condition was the same as when I sent.

congrats to you on getting your book back. Did you also get your money back? If not you should still 1) notify them that they still owe money, and 2) write a whole summary of your experience and give it to sauce dog or the police or whatever lawyer everyone is involved with. And also give (official/declarative dated) notice to Hero Restorations that you have received your book back but not the money, just for documentation's sake in the event of bankruptcy or other legal/criminal proceedings.
Obviously the odds of getting repaid are low, but in might help legally when showing a pattern of behavior that helps move things in favor of other folks who are still owed.
No, I did not get any money back.

Did you have any communication with Mike or did your book just show up one day in the mailbox?
No, I did not have any communication directly with mike. This was a process we had worked on starting with the survey sauce dog initiated to the filing of complaints to the Oregon DOJ. Many things went on in the background to find a way for him to return the books. If steps were not taken, most assuredly, no books would have been returned. Thank goodness, he is starting to comply and wether he continues, who knows.

Just to let everyone know, I just received my book back from mike dechellis. It was the Amazing fantasy 15 that was shown in one of the photos he had taken. Mine was the top photo with the small black stickers on the cover.
I have to give a massive thank you to sauce dog who had initiated the survey to get things moving on a recovery. I hope mike continues to send out the books to us who had lodged complaints and to all others whose books he still has.

Thanks @seanfingh! That was what I figured but didn’t know if there was anything further on the legal side regarding this matter.
At least I got my books back! Better than many can say at this time 😕.
When did you get your books back.

I spoke with dechellis in august 2023 and he was very convincing. Little did I realize he filed for dissolution. This guy willingly and knowingly took my money and my expensive book. I always wonder how someone can live with themselves knowingly ripping them off. This was the first time that I had considered restoration and was always skeptical. I thought I did my due diligence but it was not enough. I feel sick.

I sent him money and the book in august 2023 and spoke with him also. The number is now disconnected . This is horrible.

I sent ( mike dechellis- hero restoration) him a very expensive book and money. I tried to call and the number was disconnected. I emailed him and got an automatic reply that said "To busy to reply to emails right now, if you are waiting on me, it should not be too much longer.
I spoke with this guy before I sent the books and he sounded very knowledgeable and legit. This is a real nightmare. If anyone received their books, please let us all know.

My book is pictured on Sauce Dog post on January 16. Dechellis took the picture of mine and another af-15 to try and sell to someone else. Read the post.
