Nova [Set] 1(7.5), 25(9.2) Asking Price: $115 #1: Spine has about 6 spine ticks that break color. Two more prominent bends just below the top staple along the spine edge (typical from a spinner rack). Spine corners slightly soft. Top edge has some light color rubbing and another color-breaking edge crease. Bottom edge has a light diagonal bend that goes up under Nova’s right leg for about 1”. Back cover, top edge and spine have some light bends and ticks, but not color-breaking. Lower open edge has a small spot of waviness, but no evidence of moisture. Perhaps a reader had sweaty fingers. #25: Nice copy. Very small corner crease, URC of front cover. All corners, minimally soft. Not 9.4+ sharp. Back cover has a light crescent bend, bottom edge, and a pencil-tip size impact ding in the green block to the right of the Battlestar Galactica shirt image.

[SOLD!] Marvel Tales [Set] 68(2.5), 70(3.0), 30-cent variants Asking Price: $10 [SOLD!] A pair of well-loved 30-cent price variants. Both have a lot of bumps, ding, bend, bruises, creases and small tears. #70 has a staple pop at the bottom staple.

Star Wars 81 8.0 Asking Price $50 Spine is nice. Top & bottom corners of spine are slightly soft. Back cover has light overall soiling. Small corner bend, ULC.

[SOLD!] Strange Tales [Set] 126(5.0), 127(2.5) Asking Price: $275 [SOLD!] #126: Pretty solid copy. Looks like a little tape-pull in the comics code authority box area, URC. Corners all soft. Spine has several ticks and bends. Not the glossiest cover. Back cover has several spots where it looks like fingerprint type marks. Small dark spot on very bottom edge, middle area. Book lays very flat & has supple pages. #127: Looks good in the bag& board, but suffers from a good bit of water damage. Upper-right area of book is wavy and has a bit of color loss in URC. Open edge along the back side shows moisture waves. At least you can read part two of the Dormammu/Clea story. Plus Doc gets the Cloak of Levitation & the Eye of Agamotto in this issue too!

[SOLD!] Special Marvel Edition [Set] 15(7.0), 16(3.5) Asking Price: $360 [SOLD!] #15: Solid, glossy copy. Spine edge has several non-color breaking bends. Spine corners almost sharp. Open edge has a few light thumb-style reader creases, including a small tear just to the left of Shang’s left foot. Back cover has very light soiling, and several light spine bends. #16: Has a spine twist that causes some curling and bends in the ULC area. Top edge tear near the ‘G’ in Group in the top banner. URC has a diagonal crease. Marks in Midnight’s cape, LLC/spine area from someone writing on a piece of paper on top of the book. Back cover has upper edge wear, and URC bend from spine twist. Spine has a few bends. Moisture spot on LRC area of spine. Also foxing spots lower left open edge.

Showcase 75 5.5 Asking Price: $35 Solid copy with a little bit of overall loss of cover gloss. Spine is fairly nice with minor top staple stress and spine corner wear. Top edge has a crescent-shaped bend and right edge has a small tear near Dove’s waist. Back cover has two chips out of middle open edge. Top edge also has some light bends/wear. Both covers have halo edge tanning. Staples nice and snug. Page quality creamy.

Let's get back in the saddle of posting books! ========== Showcase 73 5.5 Asking Price: $45 Two long vertical creases (one closer to spine, one more in the middle) that lightly break color on the front cover. Color rub loss on the spine, and some kind of soiling/dirt on the Creeper’s right hand, near the spine. Corners and edges have some wear and light creases. Staple areas are solid. Small tear on the bottom edge, under the Creeper’s right foot. Back cover is fairly decent with some light wear. Some color loss in the red ‘Mail One Coupon Today’ text. Looks like from fingerprint type wear. Pages are a nice creamy quality.

I wanted to thank everyone for the kind words and well-wishes. We got the tree off the roof & there is some moderate damage, but we're pretty lucky. The roof wasn't crushed or severely smashed in. A lot of punctures and a few more serious spots where the tree impacted in the fall and a few major dings from the chimney being smashed into it. Now it's all down to the insurance folks and structural engineers and roofers. (Man - I hate being on the phone all day) Everyone have a wonderful Christmas and I'll be back before New Years. Stay safe & watch for falling objects! PS: Why do I feel like I'm grading my roof like a comic book? It was a NM-, since we had a new roof put on in 2018. Now it's like a VG+

Fantastic Four 67 (B) 6.5 Asking Price: $375 Copy that presents well. Spine has a very slight stacking curl. A couple of areas of light spider-web type creasing (in Reed’s leg and in Ben’s torso at the bottom). Small color scratch above top staple along spine. Spine corners are softening. LRC is soft. URC is nice. Top edge has some slight overhang wear. Small tear on open edge, near the URC area. Could chip out if not careful. Two small color-breaking creases in the cocoon area of the cover. Light bend near Crystal’s left leg. Back cover has some light soiling. Small bend in LLC area. Spine edge shows evidence of a rough cut at the printer, but no chipping or tears. Interior covers have a little halo edge cream color developing.

[SOLD!] Marvel Premiere [Set] 1(5.0), 2(5.5) Asking Price: $145 [SOLD!] #1: Great color strike, but there are a lot of creases that stand out on this copy due to the black cover. Light, spider-web type creases along the spine side. Top and bottom edges, and open edge corners also have creases. Back cover has some light overall soiling. Light bends along the spine side. ULC has a light crease, and LLC area has a couple of bends. #2: Suffers due to the white cover - with some light, overall soiling, front and back covers. Top edges have evidence of ink overspray. Small stain, top edge, in the middle - front cover. LRC has a small crease. Small scratch below Warlock’s left leg, in the blue area. Back cover has a small triangle-shaped tear on the bottom edge, near the spine corner area.

Nightwing [Set] 1(9.0), 2(7.0) Asking Price: $15 #1 has some very light edge wear, with a couple of spine bends & one color-breaking. Back cover has some very light soiling near each staple. ULC has a slight non-cb bend. LRC has a couple of tiny, light impact marks. #2 has two spine ticks that break color, and the bottom tick is the result of a corner-drop type bend in the LLC. Back cover has a little dirt/soiling in the middle-left area, near the open edge.

[SOLD!] Warlock [Set] (1972) 1(5.5), 2(5.0) Asking Price: $45 [SOLD!] #1: Lighter overall edge wear on front cover, but a small chip out on open edge. Corner creases, LRC and some light color rubbing in the lower black text banner area. Back cover has a light crease in the ULC area, running diagonally, and paper looks creamy in color. #2: Has nice gloss and color, but moderate spine wear and edge wear, including light creases in the URC and LRC areas. Bottom edge also has some light color-breaking creases. Back cover has some light soiling, a diagonal crease in the ULC area. Spine has several light bends. LLC has either a spot of light soiling or a moisture mark.

[SOLD!] Wolverine 1 (1982 mini, Copy C) 8.0 Asking Price: $95 [SOLD!] Looks much nicer, but has 3 non-color breaking bends in the LLC, running from the bottom edge up into the white Spidey head area. Pressable - yes. These bends are also present on the LRC area of the back cover.

I'll list about 6 or 7 more items tonight starting in about 10 minutes.

Werewolf by Night [Set] 1 (4.5), 3(5.5), 4(6.0), 5(6.0) Asking Price: $200 Moderate amount of spine wear on #1, including bends a color-breaking ticks. Spine corners also a little worn. Top edge has some wear. Small wolf claw tear in the ‘W’ of the Werewolf title. Top edge of back cover has some bends and a small tear in the ‘C’ of Racing on the ad. Some bends on the spine side, near the LRC, and two longer diagonal bends/creases from the bottom edge up toward the open edge. Really nice gloss. #3 also has decent gloss. ULC near spine has a color scuff. Bend/crease on LLC. A few bends on top & bottom edges. Lighter spine wear. Back cover clean, but top, bottom and spine edges all have some bends or very light impact marks. #4 More nice gloss. Overall, some light edge wear. LRC has a crease there. Back cover is nice, but has a light stain on the top edge, about half the size of a dime. #5 Looks nice. Has some light edge wear. Top & bottom corners of the spine are slightly dinged. Staples are also a little toooo snug into the spine, causing some deeper impressions on the cover. Everything is snug though. LRC has some light creasing. Back cover is very nice, except for a light bend in the ULC area, open edge.

[SOLD!] X-Men Annual 14 9.4 Asking Price: $75 [SOLD!] First Gambit? Who knows! Good looking copy with a small bindery rub/tear on the ULC of the spine. Looks like a small ink-transfer spot of black in the 2nd 'N' of the word 'Annual' in the ULC area. The rest of the book is very nice. Prices seem a little up & down on this book...

[SOLD!] Fantastic Four 66 4.0 Asking Price: $65 [SOLD!] Spine has some light, spider-web creasing vertically along the spine. Spine corners are soft. Staples are snug. Top, bottom & right edge have some light wear - top edge has a small chip out. LRC has several light spine creases. Back cover presents decently, but 3 small tears on open edges. A long, diagonal crease from left edge to bottom. Some ink overspray on bottom edge. Small chip out on LRC. A couple of small moisture drops ULC area. Get yo self some HIM!

Predator 1-4 [Set] #1 is 9.2 Asking Price: $70 Set of 1 through 4 of the original Dark Horse mini. #2 is a 9.4. #3 is a 9.0. #4 is a 9.4. The #1 has 9.8-looking corners all around. Spine is nice. The degrading factor is 3 non-color breaking bends near the LLC spine area. Could you press 'em out? I'm sure someone could if desired. The back cover has a very slight color rub on the LLC. I love the cover to #1.

[SOLD!] Wolverine 1 (Copy A) 6.0 Asking Price: $20 [SOLD!] A moderate amount of edge wear, including color rubbing. Back cover lightly soiled. Minimal description of the overall wear. Logan would appreciate the brevity.
