[SOLD!] Astonishing Tales 25 7.0 Asking Price: $125 [SOLD!] Solid copy. About a half-dozen very light spine ticks, barely breaking color. Small stress bend near top staple. Corners are a little soft. Back cover exhibits a hint of ink overspray speckles along spine edge, and two ink spots toward the bottom edge. Top edge and spine area have a few light bends. Maybe improvable if that’s your thing.

Batman Adventures 12 7.0 Asking Price: $450 Looks like a 9.2/9.4, but... There is a small stain on the open edge that appears to have started on the back cover, right in the middle of the open edge side, and then permeated into the book moving forward & getting smaller toward the front cover. Fantastic looking book with a flaw that CGC will nuke you for. I don’t know if this could pull an 8.0. Stain does not cause rippling or any waves, but when you know it is there, you can feel a bit of a texture difference on the back cover in that small area.

[SOLD! via PM] Fantastic Four 49 3.0 Asking Price: Was $800 Now: $725 [SOLD! via PM] 2nd Silver Surfer Yes, a lot of problems with this one. But compares very favorably to a CGC graded 3.0 that sold on ebay November 11th. That copy has the staples almost pulled through the book and a rough LLC. This book has water exposure/damage. Some waving present toward the bottom of the book. Top staple excellent. Bottom staple exhibits some rust on the exterior. Many color-breaking spine ticks and some corner creases. Open edge tear, toward right bottom. ULC corner has a tear and split about 1/4-inch down... into the first wrap also. Store stamp on FC and lower centerfold. This baby came from Prescott, Arizona. Which must have been the size of about 2 city blocks in 1966. Back cover - you see that URC tear. ULC dog-ear corner gone. Lighter creasing on the back, but that water damage down below with gloss loss on the bottom edge. Book still feels very nice in-hand. I have a ton of pics if you need them. I can describe every problem with the book down to the minutia if you need it. Price is coming in a little hot, but... hot book. See what you think.

[SOLD!] EOSV 2 (Copy A) 5.0 Asking Price: $85 [SOLD!] No idea what happened this copy, but I rescued it out of a Hastings bin many years ago. Whole lotta bending and folding going on with the front cover. Book interior is fine. Back cover has small LLC crease. Some NCS bends LRC area of back cover. Could you improve it? Sure. But not sure to what degree. Affordable copy if you need one.

Marvel Super-Heroes #20 7.0 Asking Price: $600 Admittedly coming in a little high on this one, but is a pain in the back-side book. This copy compares very favorably to a slabbed 7.0 that sold on Hake’s in Sept. for $520 and a 7.5 that sold on ebay for $800 in Oct. This copy presents very well. I’ve had this one for around 30 years, maybe a little longer. Onto the defects: Fingerprint smudge in the ‘MAR’ of the Marvel title text. Very small corner crease, LRC front cover. One spine tick/color break, and a small vertical color-breaking crease next to spine on Doom’s cape. Light bend/soft LLC. Back cover is clean. Slight dust/sun shadow across the top edge. One non-color breaking bend near spine edge, opposite of the bend/spine tick on the front cover. Improvable? Mmmm... maybe the bend on the back cover.
