  1. Quality Comics was appropriately named. Lots of great characters, great art, and great stories. Uncle Sam, The Ray, The Black Condor. Lou Fine had a lot to do with my like of these characters.
  2. "Great Caesar's Ghost" Perry White in a Superman suit. Outstanding! Love this thread. I wonder who pays for all the broken desks
  3. Has the same MMC 17 for sale again or am I misreading this?
  4. Actually got these back yesterday. 1-13 to 3-13. UPS had actually tried to deliver them Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, but I was out of town. I didn't get the e-mail from CGC with a tracking number until late Wednesday. They are even running late on those. Last week I had a shipment on the way, and once I got the e-mail from CGC I tracked the shipment and found that they had already attempted delivery once. Fortunately I was still able to have the shipment held at my local Kinkos, but it was closer than I would like. I have noticed this for a while now. When I see it marked as shipped, I call to get the tracking number. I use my own fedex account and always have it held at a nearby Fedex office. The most recent shipment email did not come until after I had already picked up the package. I ship on a personal FedEx account too (so glad I finally did this). Is there any way to set your account to automatically send you an e-mail when a shipment/tracking is generated on your account? That would be ideal. Not that I am aware of. I actually checked my fedex account first this time before calling CGC and the shipment was listed yet on my fedex. Not sure when the account is updated/charged. If it is possible, I would like to know as well.

  6. Thanks to dscott for getting my first and most likely last Stan Lee sigs. Thanks Doug - appreciate it
  7. What tier did you use? Fast track? I remember my first time way back. Good luck
  8. This thread needs a boost. Nearly finished with my slabbed collection of Quality Uncle Sam covers. It has been complete for a while but am slowing either subbing or buying graded copies. Six raws below but one is out for grading. Unfortunately one of the raws is trimmed so doubtful I would get that one graded. Not the highest graded examples by far but some great covers and good stories. Although, you can't see, this includes copies from the following pedigrees (alas the Pennsylvania and Rockford are the same issue so I only posted the Pennsylvania as it is a tad higher graded). Pennsylvania San Francisco Rockford Crippen Crowley
  9. Usual awesomeness, Bats Not sure if you're into SS but this would be a good one for Ken Bald to sign.
  10. I believe JC mentioned this earlier. The episode of Different Strokes where Arnold stole the Spider-Man comic (said to be #1 on the show) was actually Spider-Man #14. This is the best picture I could find, There is also Invaders #7 and I can't tell what the other Superman comic is. The episode is Season 4, Episode 5 - The Big Heist.
  11. Thanks guys - I knew someone would be able to take a closer look.
  12. I didn't list the issues but quickly there are Superman #72, Action #160, Mr. District Attorney #23, World's Finest #54 and Batman #66. Some others too we can figure out.
  13. This is from S1E16 Adventures of Superman TV show - Mystery in Wax. I did a screen capture some time ago and had it filed away in my photobucket.
  14. Love the pics. I want to make a trip over the pond at some point. My hope is for either the 2015 or 16 London show.
  15. He wouldn't make my top 10 but Sgt. Fury #1 should be mentioned. Demand seems to continue to grow for that book (especially in high grade).
