  1. That is cool (thumbs u . I've thought about getting into non-US versions of some books but too many other things on my want list ill pick it up for you if i come across it. (thumbs u Thanks but I can't read Portuguese. It is cool to see these books from abroad.
  2. I didn't like it much at all - the '62 corvette, flying or not, was the best part of the show.

  4. Some day, I want a copy of this one.
  5. This one would be up there for me. I picked up this copy a while back. Sue me, I like knights.
  6. I could have done without Robin in his underwear though. Fixed. But that's always the case for me as a member of the Robin-Haters club.
  7. Strapped in for my viewing pleasure, Jeff
  8. I've got a couple copies of 227 and while it is a cool book it wouldn't make my top 3 NA covers. Not an uber HG copy of my DC Special 6 but it is a nice cover. I'd have to give some thought to my top 3 Adams covers. Tec #412 would be up there for me though - tons to choose from for sure posted in the What are your all-time favorite Neal Adams Covers? thread. Regardless of cover greatness, 227 has proven to be highly desirable.
  9. I have a non-FT Value Tier received 6-12 that has been at graded for a while (don't remember exactly when it moved to graded but around two weeks). I have another one (same service) that was received on 7-16 - also graded. And one more (same service) from 7-16 that is scheduled for grading. That 6-12 invoice has to be getting close to the encapsulation machine
  10. Call them and tell them, they can probably fix it. Could you have made an error on the sub form? If so they may not be as sympathetic... That happened to me - I sent in a HOS #95 (correct on the invoice) and it was listed as HOM #95 with corresponding label notes. A quick call and it was fixed within minutes.
  11. Me either. That is cool and I don't even like the Smurfs - sorry, Greggy.
  12. It's been asked before but not sure if CGC was asked or if they decided not to - http://boards.collectors-society.com/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=4428334#Post4428334 I didn't see an answer. I've often wondered this myself. April is a major TMNT character and it surprises me CGC doesn't mention her or Baxter for that matter on the label. There is enough room since they've used 3 lines in the notes section on other books, and I'm sure they have been asked to add April? Anybody know why? Is there another book with April that pre-dated #2 that I don't know about? You're right. My post was just to show that it has been brought up before but again, I don't know if CGC was actually asked and if so, if they declined to add it the notation.

  14. Oh, stop this, please. As much as I love Jack Kirby and the Panther, this is one of the most irrelevant #1 issues as far as the Panther goes. The initial storyline is weak, and things get good when Jack starts the Vibranium storyline, involving the Wakanda royal family – it makes no sense for this issue to go up in value… just because it‘s a #1. The market would seem to disagree with you The market is like a run away train. I just report on what I see. From what I know of Claudio, I don't think this was directed at you Whet - just how the market is reacting to this book.
  15. Love the books and the focus, BP. I remember when you started your GA ped thread and always follow it too.
  16. Wait, what? No way that final bid is anywhere close to legit? Why would this be going for more than $30? Ended at $635
  17. Those are great pictures. This stood out to me -- Tough ladies... - "Nightwitches - Female Russian bombers who bombed Germany during WW2. They had old, noisy planes & the engines used to conk out halfway through their missions, so they had to climb out on the wings mid-flight to restart the props. To stop Germans from hearing them & starting up the anti aircraft guns, they’d climb to a certain height, coast down to German positions, drop their bombs, restart their engines in midair & get the hell out of dodge. Their leader flew 200+ missions & was never captured." Tough ladies...
