  1. Some group shots of some of the books... America's Best Comics
  2. I decided to try to put semblance of order to my GA slabbed books. They were scattered throughout my house (basically where I could find room for a box). Titles were ordered, well you get the idea. My raw books are actually more in order than the slabs. So for the slabbed books, after pulling everything out, this is where I started.
  3. Both just sold for $2,150 in the latest Heritage auction. Which would you choose? Amazing Spider-Man #219 CGC 9.9 - guides for $12 in Overstreet Vault of Horror #13 CGC 9.6 Gaines File Copy - guides for $1675 in this forum
  4. Kudos and thanks to Kelly (kelhot) for the nifty Black Terror #20. Shipped it quickly and securely (extremely well packed) (thumbs u Thanks again Jeff
  5. I love this thread - another cool pic. The caption should read: "A young Chuck Rozanski sitting at his make-shift desk, contemplating a future selling Near Mint books (such as those pictured), glass pottery and growing a pony-tail."
  6. Remember the Saturday Night Live Characters - The Ambiguously Gay Duo. Well I think I found the inspiration. Maybe someone has noted this before. I just finished reading Prize Comics #40. Take a look at some of these panels from the Flying Fist and Bingo strip (even the names are full of innuendos ) . Not that there is anything wrong with this. The beach exercises are hilarious.
  7. #2 usually doesn't Even Billy's or especially Billy's
  8. I have that run too. It was my first GA complete run to finish. Isn't it a fun title - great Schomburg covers to boot.
  9. The PL is incredible but I couldn't turn down a 9.2 Fantastic #1 - although not my favorite Lou Fine cover - it is still
  10. Very cool. That's Captain Marvel #7, I believe. Cap Marvel #7 according to GCD has a date of 2-6-42. The Mystic #8 is March 1942. I think there is an Exciting Comics behind him - either #16 or #17. And the Crack is most likely #21?
  11. No brainer here. Batman 1. It's ten times the book the Marvel 9 is Yep.
  12. Those are great books - I too love the #36. What an intriguing design - has anyone checked the Atlantic Ocean lately
  13. I wish I could play in this thread more often. But I did manage to add this one recently. Lower grade but I love this cover.
  14. A struggle for me - That Subby is so NICE but I would go with the Marvel #1.
  15. A big thank you to Shane (kryptonitecomics) for a sweet Black Terror #15. Thanks again! Jeff
  16. Sorry Billy - My Dynamics consist of 1, 12, 14, 18 through 23. My Punch issues are 1, 10, 21, 22. The Punch 12 is one of my favorite covers and the Dynamic 8 ain't too shabby either. I've seen those issues turn up occasionally (metro has a low grade restored Punch 12 right now). Are they that difficult to find or are you shooting for a certain grade? I will be on the lookout - Being your favorite boardie does have a somewhat perverse appeal
