Here's a scarce book; there are only 8 in the census. CGC Noted that it is the first Jack Kirby Thor.
Very nice

Adventure #66.
As much as I love Barks, I really love Burnley, especially the Starman covers. Plus it's the Church copy.

+3 yup, adventure for me too. now if only I can decide between the MF 52 or the tec 27 . for investment reasons, i'll go with the tec. but as a collector, i'd want the MF, mainly due to the unrestored factor.

I forgot to post this one - last one for real this time. I love this run of books. It is Reg'lar Fellers Heroic Comics - the first 15. Some great Bill Everett art. I just got three of these back from CGC so getting closer to a complete slabbed set.
Still looking for a #13 to finish this run out

So today I hit one full shortbox of gold and atom age books and I decided to take pics of my whole collection. Four years ago I didn't own a single golden age book, and now I have these. Thanks to everyone here for helping me along, especially Centaurman and Adamstrange!
Some awesome books. Love the LB Cole books (Mask #1 and #2 ) plus Frazetta, Fine, Schomburg....- GA is the greatest
Thanks. Let me know when you get sick of those Everett Astonishings and early Nationals.
Thanks Andy - I love those covers - Eisner, Fine, Crandall - some great covers in that series.

Thanks for the comments. Even though my raw books are easier to get to - I still need to put them in some organized order. That will be on my to-do list. At some point, I want to break into my "comic vault" (which encompasses three closets, under two beds, under desks, in cabinets, etc. of SA and BA books plus comic memorabilia from the 1970s. Someday I'll get to that...
One last slabbed group shot that borders on the SA but it is the only post 1950 character that I collect - Captain Comet. I want to put together a run of Strange Adventures with him on the cover. A few other DC sci-fi thrown in for good measure.

One of my favorites - Quality Uncle Sam Covers

Some LB Cole Goodness...
And some Atlas...

A few others - Cheslers, Fox, Centaurs, etc.

More Nedors...

My woefully feeble Timely slabs...

I decided to try to put semblance of order to my GA slabbed books. They were scattered throughout my house (basically where I could find room for a box). Titles were ordered, well you get the idea. My raw books are actually more in order than the slabs. So for the slabbed books, after pulling everything out, this is where I started.

its time for two new books to choose from, dont you all think?
Both just sold for $2,150 in the latest Heritage auction. Which would you choose?

All-Star #3 for me but it is close.

I love this thread - another cool pic.
The caption should read:
"A young Chuck Rozanski sitting at his make-shift desk, contemplating a future selling Near Mint books (such as those pictured), glass pottery and growing a pony-tail."
