I agree. I love the top of the splash page showing off.

I really don't get the attraction of the non-ASM pages at all. It seems very weird to me.
The "Letter" page? Weird.
The Ditko art is attractive to collectors. The Bell Ringer is a good non ASM story.

Bought the complete 11-page story on ebay about 10 years ago. I don't think CGC graded single pages then. Ended up flipping for $700. What a (duh) I am.

If you could only have one page, this would be the one!
Probably the most important & iconic page ever created by a comic artist.

A thread of happiness, joy, sadness, conflicts, argumentatives, high-fives, and more. I'm sure every emoji was used many times. Lives changed in this thread. People came, people went. Lots of memories here. Gotta be the most loved thread on the Boards.

Batmanis#1 finally sold his Tec comics, donated the money to an animal rescue as he said he was going to do. He went to visit the rescue and the animals attacked and killed him
A joke??

Clean grays and white streaks mean everything on this book. I looked forever for that ultra clean look. Low humidity Ohio climate preserved my book.

I'm not a tax expert, but if you don't have a receipt, I would think the purchase price would be assumed to be $0.12.
I bought my copy of ASM #1 back in May, 1980, for $250. I'm not even sure if I got a receipt. However, assuming that I did, who keeps receipts for 43 years?
For an auction winner it’s easy. Keep your receipt. Your cost basis is what you paid for it.

Ok - I know I'm the outlier, but I enjoyed the constant thread bumps. The play by play pricing didn't really bother me because I love discussing this book.
Not to mention the theater of his one random political rant... Those post are forever obliterated, but he certainly livened up the SA section.
Outlier👍

Had no idea you could completely remove your history like that…..crazy
The Moderator probably did it. He posted his sale and it was deleted by the Mod (I assume). I'm sure he had some "comments" for them upon leaving.

can't see the top half well but wow is that a gorgeous copy, and looks far better condition than the assigned grade. well done sir!
Weird but I thought it was an 8.5 first glance as you can’t tell the grade without a close up.

Of course! Still have mine! I thought about selling during the peak but I liked the book so much that I decided to keep knowing full well a crash is in the horizon.
