Superman #87 question

Hey gang, a buddy of mine just bought a copy of Superman 87 and we noticed that there is no cover price. Could this be a promo book? Any help would be great, thanks!

The copy in the Photojournal has a price.

I had not heard of promo editions this late but it should have a small 10c in the UL corner. If it doesn't that it doesn't sound like the regular American edition.

Yeah, all the covers I can find have the 10 cent covers, the inside cover info doesn't indicate a foreign book. Of course I don't know if it would. Wouldn't a foreign book still have a cover price?

I wish I did, it's at his shop. I can say that the cover is the exact same as a normal 10 cent cover excuse the price.

I guess anything is possible. There is the variant Superman #75 that has #74 on the cover.

 

Maybe the price fell off the original near the end of the print run on the #87?

 

Or maybe your friend's copy has amateur color touch and they painted right over the price?
