It is "easy" enough to e-mail a few people who have had transactions with the seller/buyer most of the time and the kudos thread is a mess, but it is sort of searcheable. I did this once when someone her bought a couple hundred bucks of books off me and they were foreign, I just wanted to be sure he wasn't an "I didn't get the package" scammer, and he wasn't and everything worked out fine. A rating system would seem to be a good way for personal vendettas to get blown up.

I do love the marketplace setup, warts and all, and I think it has even enticed some quality members to join. Just wouldn't want the baby thrown out with the bathwater, so to speak.

The T U R D S will rise to the top very quickly, and constantly get pointed out by other board members. I can say I have had many transactions both buying and selling, and all of them have been excellent and hassle free.

 

Take this for what it's worth, but sometimes not enough is enough, and enough is too much.....
