This is another for you, The Franci...

More to come...

Not only is that a great card cover, it has the sleeve of tattoos to go with it. Great books. Thanks Cimm.

I am going to have a hard time finding them, but I love knowing they are there.

Surprisingly accurate Luer-Lok syringe. I wonder whether the artist drew (traced?) it straight out of a medical supplies catalog.

Great stuff! Keep 'em coming.

Another pulp mail day here - I'm pretty happy about the Thrilling Mystery since I passed on a copy at the Windy City pulp show for about $50 and I've regretted it since then ... but I was able to pick this one for about $20 on eBay :)

Nice pick-ups, man! I was watching that Thrilling Mystery, but wasn't home to throw a bid on it...

Thanks. The Phantom Detective looks much better in hand than it did on the pic on eBay. I can't tell how happy I am you weren't home :baiting: Did you win anything from that seller?

Well I picked up my most wanted pulp - the 1943 Star Western. I saw the cover art in a pulp calendar and bought the calendar just to find out where the art came from. I stumbled across this one - a Bethlehem pedigree - when i was buying another Bethlehem book from the same dealer.

Now I can put that poker-playing Popeye at the top of my want list.

Sweet Star Westerns. They generally are better sellers than most other Western series and the covers are part of that equation.

Another pulp mail day. First one and another in the next post. First this Clues Detective Stories with what I'd consider a classic cover -

The cover is by Howard Brown and the interior illo is by Alex Schomburg.

^^

Yup for all Schomburg afficionados, that's a Schomburg illo. The story title is actually The Star Parade btw.

Did you cheat and simply looked at your copy? (tsk)

Richard Crenna

I thought that he looked like Richard Boone who starred in Have Gone Will Travel.
