My first onsite submission, just 8 books but pick up on Sunday! AT THE LATEST!

How many OM 3's on that sub? hm

Two. I was gonna sub 4 but figured I could learn a littlefrom those two.

Then I bought another at the show!

Don't have pics or scans yet but just got back all of my books subbed yesterday for on-site:

Spider-Gwen 1 Phantom Sketch - 9.8

Spider-Gwen 1 Phantom Encore - 9.8

X-Men (1991) 54 Enhanced Variant 9.8

X-men 2 - 5.0 (expected it to top at 4.5)

Now to the ones I'm a tiny bit bummed about cause I thought they'd come back higher:

X-men 7 - 4.0 (expected 4.5-5.0)

Alias 1 - 9.4 (expected 9.6 but I could see 9.4)

NYX 3 - 9.6 (it's nicer than my other 9.6)

Runaways 1 - 9.2

X-men 94 - 6.5 (I really saw this one as 7.5-8.0)

And finally 2 that I'm just completely lost on how they came to the grade:

UXM 258 Marvel Legends Reprint - 8.5

UXM 500 Turner Sketch Variant - 9.4

9.8 pre screen

:cloud9:

Color me green with envy.

Is 50 a hard minimum for prescreen or can you get fewer than 50 prescreened?

I just got 10 more books ready for submission. If onsite is shut down I will just hold on to 7 and get 3 SS submitted now. It is a 75- 100 minute drive depending on traffic, but I plan on leaving closer to 7 than 8 so I should be fine.

I wasn't aware that they offered pre-screen with on-site. I must have missed that. I'll have to remember that for next time.

There are no pre-screens offered for on-site books. If you submit it...it gets graded.

I thought so. I didn't think I was that oblivious. That's why I was confused by the mention of pre-screen 9.8 when I was talking about on-site.

I subbed one but sitting here now cannot tell you which one it was (although I have an idea but would have to go to multiple spots in the closet to confirm). All in all I have 9 copies of this book! Two are in Florida with an ongoing submission, one is onsite now, and two were returned from onsite today. I got a 9.4 and a 9.6 back today. I know which boardie sold me one that I was NOT impressed with, but that was not you. That one is among my 4 raw. Yours were good copies in any event though, one got slabbed and the other is 9.2/9.4 I think, worth it perhaps but I held off in favor of other books. (I am really curious to see how a Maxx issue grades out from a nice grade set I bought.)

Cool; just wondering how my grading tracked to CGC.

My "nicer" copy of the 2 (which is the one I'm assuming you had graded) I had as a NM and you got back a 9.4 and 9.6 so not too shabby.

I just love the cover on that book. Ridiculous. Good luck on your other subs.

I'm not clear on what "finger bends" are...

This book was noted as having "left bottom back cover finger bends" (shrug)

Usually they are crescent shaped and about the size of a finger print and generally show up on the outer edge/non-spine side of the front or back cover. They are caused when people take their finger and bend open the cover.
