Who's crazy for the bondage?

I think "bondage" is mentioned on the slab because of SOTI- similar to CGC noting "injury to eye panel" on the slab. For sellers, these are big important selling points that are always noted on the ebay ad! SOTI makes a big deal of bondage and injury to eye panels as inappropriate for kids.

I do think its a bit over rated as well. Wish they'd leave it off or at worst simply say "Classic Cover" cause some of the covers really aren't that great.

 

Big difference between an Suspense 3 and an Andy Panda as far as bondage covers go.

For some reason Robin got tied up constantly on Detective covers between #43 and #57. Looks like he spend most of 1941 and 1942 in bondage. Guess the cover artist had a thing for tied up young boys.
