My thoughts exactly.

 

I think there would be a lot more action on this if the seller had better credentials.

On the other hand, the ones that do dare bid could get themselves a bargain... if the auctions turns out legit after all

Yes, it's a great page and the pic looks legit. I emailed the seller to ask about his credentials or background, and he noted that he'd been using his wife's Ebay account previously. Trouble was, the other Ebay account had 7 feedback, mostly as a seller, and was located in the Netherlands, not Nevada.

 

I'm not sure what to make of this one. I was tempted to bid, but worry that it's not on the up and up. Other observations?

For what's its worth I got screwed by a "netherlands" seller last year on a New Avengers cover. I ended up contesting payment thru Paypal and won but if he's the same guy watch out. He has used several Ebay accounts but I can't remeber his name right now.

I emailed him today and he told me the same line about using his wife's ebay account. Problem was it was registered in the Netherlands. When I confronted him about it he seemed shocked. I asked if local pickup was available (money orders for the art) and he hasn't replied. Hmmmmmmmmm

I really liked that page but his story was too full of holes for me to feel comfortable about bidding. I hope the winner doesn't get burned and gets a great piece to his/her collection.

I agree - too many red flags to take the risk. Although I do hope for the buyers sake that it's legit.

I did receive confirmation from the seller that pickup was an option, but never mentioned

his name, very vague and feel this had trouble written all over it.

Pay with a credit card if using paypal. If paypal won't protect you the credit card will.
