Worst Marvel Bronze Run?

69 posts in this topic

Remember all those short-run, guaranteed-to-be-cancelled series from 1970 to 79? Which ones made your eyes roll over, gave you a headache or prompted you to shred?

Well my picks for the worst are:

The Cat

Night Nurse

Those two books, discounting the nostalgia/kitsch factor, are virtually unreadable.

spider-woman, fool killer, howard the duck, etc.

gotta defend Howard, the series was a nice alternate read back then. Englehart offered up something different and entertaining.

But, gotta agree with spider-woman. the art was even worse than the stories. maybe that's why she has such bad karma in Alias(ouch)

DC: Prez or OMAC

Oh yeah Prez is right up there. But DC did much worse than OMAC. Off the top of my head I can think of

Beowolf

Freedom Fighters

Karate Kid

Teen Titans (mid-1970s revival)

Justice Inc

Supergirl

...

Ummm, Devil Dinosaur and Moon Boy?

I truly believe I have purged all those 70's Kirby POS books from my memory. They can all go on the list, from Devil Dinosaur to Machine Man to 2001.

Just terrible stuff.

X-Men, specifically from 108-143. grin.gif

But seriously, from what I've seen, Man Thing was pretty bad, and lame as hell.
