Yeh - it looks too small to be the original.........

 

otherwise, that's a very nice looking copy, if you can get past the major marvel chipping. I'd think 4.0ish would be a good call.

the staple looks weird. maybe the part of the spine is covering some.

If that is a replacement staple. I dont know what my grade would be otherwise solid 3.5 . But the staple is cause for alarm. How much is the initial offer. I think I have seen this copy before.

4.0 since CGC doesn't hit chipping hard.

Wouldn't be totally shocked to see a 4.5.

 

Could get a green label if the staple is replaced.

Staple problem not there. I would guess a 4.0, and around 35 to 28 hundred.

 

Staple problem there, then around 2600-3200. Maybe less. Depends on the page quality.

Regarding the thread title, I don't think there is a single member of this board who isn't quicker at remembering where Spidey first appeared than they are at naming the town of their own birth

 

As for the book, what can I say... $LOTS would be my best estimate! Without the chipping I'd be guessing it's a 4.5
