Cool! never seen that before. I have no clue as to it's value, but that copy looks to be in decent shape.

 

Probably more valuable to hot rod memorabelia collectors than comic collectors.

I was an avid reader of CarToons as a youngster in the early 1970's, but I have never seen that first issue either. (Or any of the early digest-sized issues for that matter.) I bought a handful of issues from the mid 1960's at an antique show once, at $3 each.

 

There has to be a market for CarToons, as so many people grew up reading them, but I have no idea if they appear in any kind of price guide. The earliest issues I see listed currently on eBay are from 1962.
