There was a long thread about this book in comics general. It's not really "on" ebay. It's a Heritage book that will sell during a live auction in 10 days.

And since it's not really on eBay, it'd be stupid to bid on it THROUGH eBay. Because while the Heritage bidder's premium is pretty lame at 15 percent, it's ridiculous at the 20 percent they charge to bid through eBay.

I'd venture to say that there ain't 10 of those Spirit 22s in that shape. Hulk 181, on the other hand, seemingly grows on trees.....................

For perspective's sake, for the price of that Hulk 181, you could get the complete original art to a REALLY nice Will Eisner story AND that book (with that killer cover) AND a trip to Jamaica.

at the bottom of the book in the slab - there's somehting holding the book up. is that what people have referred to as the "wedge"? why would they need something like that? my bronze agers don't have that large a gap so as to necessitate one...

Didn't a 181 cgc 9.8 fetch around 30k on e-bay some months ago?

If that is correct, then 15k for this one would definitely signal some type of correction for this book.

 

Also, could you provide the link for the 180 cgc 9.8...ebay doesn't show any items for this search.

GPA has a hulk 181 9.8 selling for 19,067.89 in February of this year.

If I had 15-20K to play with at the Heritage auction, I'd be looking at the Batman #11 CGC 9.4.
